Spacek held everything together. He was probably the best all around defenseman for us in that winning stretch. Then he went down and things started to spiral from there.
With Spacek, Campoli and Markov returning this will be a much, much stronger hockey club. I think people will be quite surprised at the difference those guys will make not only to solidify the D, but help the offense and the PP as well.

Nice to hear Campoli is getting closer. With Markov about to return and Campoli hopefully not too far away, not only does that help our D but it helps Hamilton as well since St-Denis should be returned soon enough and when Campoli comes back maybe Diaz gets sent down as well.

Don't take people for fools; Gill will not be put in the stand s no matter how had his game would be or how good our prospects are..

Well if an injured player is praticing on a powerplay that is abysimal, this means he'll probably play. I can't see Martin practicing the powerplay with a guy that won't play when the powerplay sucks that much.

Martin ruled him out for the West coast trip and I'd be surprised if that changes, although there seems to be alot of rumors that he could play on Wednesday
My guess is the Habs will take the same cautious approach they've taken so far and hold him out of game action until they're back from the west coast.

lol i'm the same way actually...but at this point, it seems like so long since i've seen him play, waiting another 2-3-4 games, means little to me at this point.
I would just love to see this team at full capacity for an extended period of time and by full capacity, i mean an intact top 9 & top 4.

But yeah, I agree with you. But seeing the powerplay struggling makes me want to see Markov return ASAP.
But I fully agree, I just cant wait to see what a healthy line up really looks like. Although I doubt we ever do see it this season.

People forget this team might be at .500 but 4 of the 6 regular D-men are out. Having half of them back in 2 weeks is huge. Just keep the head above water for the time being.
Ask the bruins if they would be good without say Chara, Seidenberg, Ference and Corvo. Doubt it.
