Glad

Marc was here in Greenville for part of last season and the playoffs. Gives it his all has a mean streak too. Glad to see him reach the NHL even if its just a game.

I'm actually pretty psyched to see Bourdon. Don't have high hopes anymore, but I did at one point...

Marshall...not so much.

bourdon is an absolute stiff. Marshall is a steady ahl dman. he has always been one of their top 3 dman. Not that that means much his game tranlates much better to the nhl than others. then again that also doesnt mean much. poor gus lol. At least they didnt try to call bart or walker up. Give it time though i suppose, holmgren is due to make a dumb perplexing move shortly. it seems like it has been to long.

Pronger - Virus

Coburn - Upper body injury, can skate but can't take contact.

I have it the other way. I still have a little bit of hope for Marshall, d's take a little longer to develop usually, especially the stay-at-home kind. He continues to treat the puck like a grenade whenever I watch him play though. Bourdon I've given up on however. He is almost too slow for the AHL, I can't see how he's going to keep up in the NHL.

Still, glad they got the call instead of trying to get one or both of Walker/Bartulis through the waiver wire.

Impressed with both players but Bourdon especially. I'd rather have him up than Lilja or Walker while Gus is rehabbing.

See what happens when you have low expectations?

But seriously, I was expecting a whole lot worse. The kids weren't bad.

Honestly, even w/ Lilja and the two kids on the ice, I think Matt Carle stood out as the worst defenseman by a pretty good margin.

His poor first passes and turnovers really stand out when Pronger isn't there to cover him...

Coburn has a bruised kidney.

Edit: Tim P. has a quote to add:

http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/flyers...300&feedID=695

Quote:
Technically, Coburn’s injury is mid-body. Two sources told CSNPhilly.com that Coburn took a shot to his kidneys but doesn’t have any internal organ damage.

“We're hoping [Coburn] can be back within a game or two,” general manager Paul Holmgren said.

“Chris is suffering from a little bit of a virus. Once we get some tests run on him we'll have a little better idea but right now we're going to list him as day-to-day, too.”

Coburn was injured at Winnipeg. He took the morning skate, but he is not allowed to have contact. Pronger did not skate.

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren statement on Chris Pronger:
“Chris will have surgery on his left knee tomorrow afternoon. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Peter DeLuca. The procedure will clean out some loose particles that have given Chris some problems over the last month or so. We were hopeful that the time missed with a virus that Chris has been fighting would settle things down in his knee but after an examination yesterday, it was decided that the surgery is the way to go at this time. We expect Chris will be back playing in 4 weeks.”
Per Flyers' Official Facebook

Wow, Pronger is really falling apart.

Sad, I thought he would be another Lidstrom and play elite D to at least 40.

Loose particles? That must be where he hid those stolen pucks.

So much for having a PP.

That sucks.... so basically no Pronger for 24/7. That was for me half the draw for watching it.
