At this point, I think they are being held back by whatever nonsensical system Oates is having them use. They must be. A random group of five players doing whatever they want to on the PP would have scored more by accident by now.
Either way I don't think he gets fired or replaced. He has been doing a great job with helping centers with faceoffs, even though they have been sucking lately.
I would like to see more creativity by the players. They do the same thing every time and make is so easy for the other team. It is so obvious that they are looking for Kovy and when Zach decides to take it to the net barely anyone is there for the rebound.

This is mostly because of the amount of time he sees on the PP, which doesn't use up much energy. I would still like to see him play less time though.
I would put Patty, Sykora, and Zubrus together as one of our PP units since they know what the hell they're doing. On the other unit I'd do Parise-Henrique-Tedenby. If nothing else, you keep the lines more or less together so we don't have to waste the last 15 seconds by throwing the 4th liners out there at the end.
I'd be ok with just rolling the top two lines as normal with defensive pairings of Greene-Larsson and Tallinder-Fayne at the points. Essentially have them play as they would five on five.
