Had a very late hockey game myself tonight, get home and the DVR totally freezes when I try and play the game. So just stuck watching the highlights

I got a good laugh out of seeing Moreau scored a goal, if anyone had him in FGOTG contest they should get some kind of bonus.

Hard to judge a game based on the highlights, but Brent Burns looked lost on a lot of the plays.

Tough to see no goal for Brown, that was a hell of a move he put on the SJ player.

Williams in my view does not deserve demotion to the 3rd line despite the goal drought.

Second-most shots on goal on the whole team, truly Williams is snake-bit that more of those have not gone in.

With JW on his wing, Kopitar will be able to operate in the offensive zone for far longer stretches than with Hunter on his wing, that's for sure.

That's why everyone does it.

Hell the Redwing fans were calling for Babcock's head early this season.

Look how smart that would have turned out. The Wings are on fire, and back to being the Wings.

On topic:

Quick was amazing, Richards had a strong game. I knew Richards was a good player, but not this good. Richards brings it every night.

The fourth line looked good again. I think that line finally has an identity. Now we just need the third line to get on board.

Loki doesn't right, wonder if he is trying to hard.
I hope they give Loktionov a chance to stick this time. I have faith in this kid. He looks to have too much hockey IQ to fail IMO.

Richards and Quick are quietly leading this team. Agree with you regarding the 4th line. Now if the 3rd line can become an energy unit that ups the tempo of the game we might have something. Time to bring back Richardson or Lewis to play along side Loktionov?

i don't think it's a demotion at all, just TM trying to roll three scoring lines.

Nothing against Hunter, I do like the guy myself, but Kopitar is being "rolled" to the margins of the scoresheet with him on the wing.

If so happy B Day Puck U. You really are an extraordinary person and provide a service that allows people like me the ability to follow the team with ease when it would otherwise be at least very difficult to do so.
Not to mention you know your hockey.
I am a fan of yours and will always continue to be one.
Have the happiest of B Days now and until the fat lady sings.

Kings are now 3 points out of 1st in the Western Conference and 2 points ahead of 11th place Edmonton with the same number of games played as the Hawks and Oilers. According to some around here that makes the top 11 teams in the West mediocre, right?

Didn't catch the game today but happy that we won. Sounds like TM's shoot from everywhere strategy worked for once. And Rick and Quick are still boss. Nothing new.

Like most NHL teams when the Kings' best players are the best players on the ice the result is a win. Need to get Kopitar going now at the same time as Richards. The 4th line seems to have found itself. I see no reason to tweak that now.

I would like to see Richardson or Lewis get back in the lineup alongside Loktionov.

Hey TG, I agree. The cream will rise to the top.

Too many good players that are hungry this time around. I am still looking for a Pacific Division title and see no reason why not.

good game today. kings showing what they can do when they play well. if only they can do it consistently.

It's funny how some posters just disappear when the Kings win. We should have over/unders on how many posts psp is going to put up on this thread.

Remember when we had this guy in goal? Big improvement.

Still glowing over Quick's performance, waiting for TSN to update their stats so I can see where that puts him in the race, he definitely has the most shutouts thus far. Can't ask for much more from him than what he has given us, the offense should be getting the job done for him every night.

Quick looked super solid tonight, even when san jose upped the pressure. Cant' say enough about that guy when he's on his game. We're still not quite there offensively, but tonight was an improvement over the last few games. The shooting attitude seems to open it up a little bit more, and I still think we can take it up another notch.

Also, I would love to keep the Gagne-Richards combo some more to see if there's really something there.
