Strange stat that pops up when looking at the history of the the KINGS

since they came into the league 1967 in the 44 drafts the kings traded their first round pixk 18times and of the players they have drafted they had a nasty habit of trading they guys the had drafted within 5 years of drafting them

That was the one thing I couldn't get over with AM...the injury bug... He was a good coach though...
So true. Could he have been cursed? Everyone got injured during his time there. But he definitely made good with what he was left with

It seems that everywhere AM went...ambulance drivers were licking their chops... He'd be a perfect fit in Edmonton...

Where's Parker McDonald on the list?

I voted Don Perry. The Kings need a good comeback coach if they're not going to score 1st period goals. Perry was coach for the Miracle on Manchester

The one that took us to the show.

How could there be a different answer?

B-Mel? Are we voting on best hairstyle or deepest playoff run? I just don't see how Melrose is the best coach in Kings history. His stats are terrible and it is not like we made the '93 playoffs by a landslide. Doesn't hurt that he "coached" arguably the best Kings team of all-time that happened to have the best player in the history of the game in his prime. We barely squeaked through the playoffs at several points in the postseason. After '93 we fell flat on our face the two years before he got fired. Outside of the Kings, the only other time he has coached was for the Lightning on a circus stunt that lasted 16 games, that should tell you something.
