A few are before my time, but Ftorek was my favorite.
I was about to ask how many people here who voted for Pulford where alive in 76 when he coached
Strange stat that pops up when looking at the history of the the KINGS
since they came into the league 1967 in the 44 drafts the kings traded their first round pixk 18times and of the players they have drafted they had a nasty habit of trading they guys the had drafted within 5 years of drafting them
B-Mel? Are we voting on best hairstyle or deepest playoff run? I just don't see how Melrose is the best coach in Kings history. His stats are terrible and it is not like we made the '93 playoffs by a landslide. Doesn't hurt that he "coached" arguably the best Kings team of all-time that happened to have the best player in the history of the game in his prime. We barely squeaked through the playoffs at several points in the postseason. After '93 we fell flat on our face the two years before he got fired. Outside of the Kings, the only other time he has coached was for the Lightning on a circus stunt that lasted 16 games, that should tell you something.
"I think part of his game is he’s over aggressive at times, which I like. We’ll tame that. I’d rather tame a lion than paint stripes on the kitty cat." - Dean Lombardi discussing Brayden McNabb
