Keep them contained just like Philly, and we'll be just fine.

The team's been better about avoiding bad penalties since the beginning of the season. Can't afford to take many against the Pens.

I'm just thrown off because I've only been to 2 games that he played at MSG and he had 5 points in those 2, but guess the rest haven't been as great.

Don't worry, our 5 on 3 has been an epic disaster for most of the chances we've had this season.

As far as divisional opponents go, I think Crosby has better numbers against Philly and the Isles than he does against the Rangers.

He has owned us in the past... but we did do a good job of containing him last season, only 3 assists in 3 games.

Rupp used to kill us so we no longer have to worry about that.

Speaking of statistics of players vs. teams. Is it possible to pull that off NHL.com, or are there other databases where you can do this?

Oh, btw, LGR!

This is one of those games where we are really going to feel Staal's absence. Gonna need a big night from The King.

Well looks like we may be missing our #1 d-man too, so that should help even that out if true.

Not really a fair comparison cause Staal is one of the best shut down d-men in the league and would be matched up against Crosby all game. Letang is known more for his offensive game.

We always play the Pens well, so I think tonight will be a good game regardless of score, no blowouts IMO.

espn has splits but it isn't career wise, only per season so you would have to add it up.

Should be a good game. We know Danny and Mcd will be fine but curious to see how our defense holds up against 3 overpowering centers. Got a good feeling about this though, thinking Del Zotto scores a beaut in this one.

Will be watching in class with Subway, Cape Cod chips and an Arnold Palmer. Makes a 3 hour class fly by. LGR

Pens call up Picard and Bortuzzo, sayeth Jesse Spector.

Does that mean Letang is out tonight? They're both defensemen, so I believe so.

Still a pretty significant and similar hit to both teams. Letang's D game is underrated, he's still a huge minute eater, and primary offensive and PP d-man, and def our best overall d-man. Just because they are a little different in how they impact the game, Letang is still huge for us and fills a role and minutes we can't replace either.

That Arnold Palmer will speed class up with a splash of vodka.

Let's fry these birds, boys.

It's really not a 1-for-1 swap. The Rangers are good because they play tight team defense. The Penguins are good because of their explosive offense and good transition game.

Just a heads up to you guys, both Letang and Michalek out tonight for the Pens, so huge holes to fill on the back end. that's 45-50 mins of our top 4 guys out.

Pumped for this game, hope we can keep the ball rolling.

Seems that some of us are ready to blame the refs if we lose. Unless there is a blatant call, lets all watch this with a level head and enjoy the game.

2-1 NYR

Richards, MDZ.
