Yes. The Oil didn't even qualify for an emergency call up when they had all those injuries a few years ago.
How do you determine who qualifies for re-entry waivers? We called up Chorney after assigning him to the AHL with no re-entries. We've recalled guys like Gerber & Giroux without re-entries. Does 2-way contracts have any impact?
Their twitter makes it sound that way. But Bob just threw out a few likely names as speculation.
Brule has been playing well offensively (can still be an adventure defensively at times). But he may get claimed for half price on waivers.
Yeah definitely the concern. I thought maybe a recall around the last day of the Holiday Freeze may discourage other teams from making claims. Tis the season and all and who wants to get uprooted like that! Wishful thinking.
We dont have a forward for the press box with Eager's back injury. And who knows how much "maintenance" Lander needs.
Principe said he thinks with Lander it is more of a fact that he is not used to playing such a heavy schedule with all the travel. So they were giving him a day to rest as he was starting wear down a bit.
Stauffer said Eager tweaked his back in the shower haha.

I really am not sure. They have been trying Lander on the wing some lately. Do they put Lander on the wing and call up O'Marra?
Maybe they just go with the winger straight up and call Ryan Keller or Philippe Cornet?
Those are the three obvious choice IMO.
If he was not injured I would have said Josh Green. He is a big experienced forward, who is physical and can step right into Eager's spot and do fine. He was having a very good season before the injury as well.
Yeah the Flames are going to rebuild through waivers, lol.
They have to. Sutter traded most of their high draft picks away a couple of years ago. They are going to have to settle on bottom feeder status to get some back. Still watch out. The Calgary Oldtimers aways have a game with the Oil circled on their calender.
