---The injured Robyn Regehr, Drew Stafford and Patrick Kaleta are all back and appear to be taking part in practice fully. The same goes for Tyler Ennis, who is clearly getting close to returning from his high ankle sprain.
I'd rather have Tropp than Kassian up. I just bumped the Tropp thread, but it's clear that this roster is ridiculously crowded right now. Ennis, McCormick, and Boyes have yet to return and Tropp has already been relegated to the farm (presumably).
I feel a slow shift in culture is necessary. Now would be a good time to make a move.
Only way I like Regehr/McNabb is if Ehrhoff/Leo/Reggie keep getting the tough matchups.
I hope Ruff isn't going to throw McNabb to the wolves like he did with Weber. However I do like the idea of keeping the rookies separate to minimize the chances of catastrophic mistakes. I'd probably try:
Regehr-Sekera
Leopold-McNabb
Gragnani-Ehrhoff
I'd love to see Sekera getting those tough minutes the way he's playing. Grags/McNabb can be flipped, haven't decided who would be better.
I like those D-pairs more. Perhaps getting to practice with a childhood hero was Ruff throwing McNabb a bone. Kassian with two smurfs reminds me of the beginning of last year in Windsor. Granted, Roy and Gerbe are a lot better than Eric Locke and Zack MacQueen.

agreed, I imagine McNabb coming from Western Canada, that he was indeed a big Regehr fan.
Matt isn't going to impress anyone but you need that hard working low salary player on your 4th line.
Personally I'd rather they play Tropp over Ellis so long as the center situation is healthy, as Ellis plays there when necessary. But due to asset management, I understand keeping Ellis up over Tropp and otherwise am not really upset about it. Tropp has proven he has a future with the team and perhaps will factor into their decision on retaining Kaleta in the offseason.
