Eh, not a great game, but they hung in there.

Some painfully stupid plays by the Rangers tonight that made me shake my head. Lundqvist ****ed up royally on the no-goal call. Gaborik missing the goal was frustrating even though that clinched the victory. They were stuck in there own zone for over a minute multiple times.

Dubinsky and Anisimov were painfully bad tonight. Dubinsky's at that low point where you forget he was even playing.

Girardi wasn't great either, but he gets a pass because he was playing against lines 1a and 1b constantly.

Everyone else was excellent for the most part. Gaborik was my PoTG, Richards was great. Hagelin looks so poised and comfortable.

Stan Fischler could be the worst interviewer ever.

Rangers would have to go 1-2-1 in the games in hand to pass the Pens in the standings (or 0-1-3).

Team is sniffing the top-10 in offense in the league.

Stan Fichler(sp) asking Cindy "how you compare the pens to the rangers".

I agree, I didn't think he played that bad at all, just not enough to keep putting him on the ice when there were others really "going"

I hate Crosby, but Stan even makes me uncomfortable with his dumb questions.

Think this was Anisimov's worst game as a Ranger. Brutal.

That was stupid. He already said nice things about us, no need to push it.

Stan is old. He lost something off his fastball a long time ago. Great guy, good writer but not much other than a shill for MSG teams these days.

Disagree with Maloney.

They can compete with the Pens in a best of 7.

With a healthy Staal....
And the refs calling a fair game.

I don't think he was that bad. Dupuis goal was on him though.

Yeah, jesus that was bad. Crosby had some good answers tho to those clown questions.

Gabby
Richards
Hagelin

Solid win, big 2 points. Cant have a downer against the Canes on Thursday.

Damn, Gabby missing that EN.

Edit: Redden- Our 5 on 3 is sad. I think its time to switch up our plan of attack. 3 guys lining the goal line just isnt working, to much standing still. Just embarassing.

And Del Zotto played 27 minutes tonight, led the team by a few minutes.

He had a good game, not sure why people are thinking otherwise.

He played a ton of minutes, but he looked the slowest I've ever seen him play, perhaps the fatigue was settling in on him.

Still I'd take this Del Zotto over AHL Del Zotto last year, great turnaround season so far.

As for my 3 stars:

1. Marian Gaborik
2. Ryan Callahan
3. Brad Richards.

Great to see Sid badly outplayed at key moments, even if he put up 2 pts

He had one dangerous giveaway and a conspicuous miss on the PP.

I can guarantee you that when I talk to my brother-in-law later this week, he'll be complaining to me about the reffing in this game. He's a Penguins fan. My feeling is that when all the Rangers fans are complaining about the officiating and all of the Penguins fans are complaining about the officiating... it probably means the officiating is fine, at least in terms of balance.

You guys made the GDT intolerable for a while.

That call is what pushed us over the edge and the fact they scored a goal over that bogus call is what made us lose it.

Overall, officiating was fine. Bad on both sides

I only saw the last 10 minutes of the game, which is why I was in the GDT in the first place.

Without seeing it, I bet I've seen what happened in the crease called the way it was a million times.

He also played 27 minutes, was a +1, and had a beautiful assist on the GWG.

2 mistakes don't equal a bad game, especially when his positives heavily outweighed them.
