Even when healthy last year he was lazy and uninspired. After his exit interview with the brass at the end of last year and his best friend dying, I truly believe he has a new found fire in him.

And I ****ing love every minute of it!

I thought he was going to get one when I saw the play in real time but I didn't realize how many forwards had touched the puck before Richards got it...

That being said, I liked how Torts had MDZ right back on the ice during the next faceoff following his bad giveaway.... Important not to give Del Zotto the impression that he's going to be benched if he screws up like that... He needs his confidence and he's been solid for us thus far into the season.

Yup, agreed.... Mentally he was not there last season... This year, he's focused and on top of his game.... Very enjoyable to watch... No doubt bringing in Richards has helped alleviate some of the pressure that he carried as previously the only veteran forward to lead the team offensively.

We have the New York Giants, the New York Football Giants... and now the New York Hockey Giants. Get rid of the name Rangers anyway.
You know that before the Rangers were called the Rangers, they were originally going to be named the Giants?

And the best news... Deveaux is back!!!

You get the feeling that Wolski is not going to be a big part of the team this season. Club already has a much different face than it did when we started.

Rangers are 6-0-2 when Richards scores a goal.

They can, but there is a 0% chance that he'd clear the required waivers.

Does anyone here know where I can watch the McDonagh (I believe it was him) interview with Pierre McGuire?

I'm 100% done with Wolski and EC. Would rather keep up Avery, Hagelin, Mitchell and Deveaux.

watching on the fly right now and craig button was asked if the rangers should be considered among the elite teams in the east and he said yes. every1 else is recognizing this team deservingly so. they were amazed we are only 3 pts back of pitt with 4 games in hand.

Otherwise, very strong game. Pittsburgh is one of the very best teams in the game, and we outplayed them.
Absolutely right. Thought we played a solid game; Gaborik was flying all night and Brad Richards had a terrific game on faceoffs. Hagelin's speed and shiftiness is tremendous; kid is definitely a player and he and Mitchell have redefined that line and made Boyle play better as well. One thing, it's inexcusable to get lacadaisical and take a shift off near the end of a period with a 3 goal lead especially against a team like the Pens. The 5 on 3 pp was unwatchable; made the game much tougher than it should have been but I'll take it anytime. Big win and confidence booster.

I was thinking its good to have 40 around for shootouts but with haggy you don't need shootouts!
Great stuff - still on cloud 9.

Let's not go overboard. They need to be able to inject some physical toughness into the lineup at need. At the very least, they need to be able to replace Avery and Prust in the event of injury. Rupp is a better player than Deveaux, so he's the guy we should have on hand.

Oh god, that means we're NOT an elite team.

Craig Button is a clown.

On a more serious note, this team deserves recognition for how they have played. This isn't a smoke-and-mirrors start like 08-09 and 09-10 - this team has the horses to be a top team in this league.

Gotta think he won't keep up that shooting % though. It's insane.

He's been shooting more, and he needs to keep that up. His shot is ridiculous, just doesn't use it enough. Good enough to be a regular 30 goal scorer.

Has to adapt with the ****** finishers on this team.

I send Deveuax down and get Wolski in the line up. Our top 6 LW depth is WAY too weak and we can't keep up the Arty-Feds facade for lon.

Would be a career high, too.

Never netted more than 30. Richards has been awesome so far.

This Bobby Ryan stuff in Anaheim is killing me. Having him on Richards' wing, with Cally on his other (who's also on pace for 35 ) would be insane.

Stop teasing me.

Anisimov-Stepan-Gaborik
Ryan-Richards-Callahan

Have the Rangers ever had two first lines?

I quoted this in the trade board but since there's too many posts there, maybe that's why you didn't respond. What I said was I think Richards and Stepan might be switched if we get Ryan. Why would we have Richards, who's left-handed, center a great LW? Most of his passes would have to be on the backhand. I know it's pretty much the same thing on our top line, but I rather have them be able to pass to their wingers on their forehand.

You wouldn't have Anisimov on the team anymore if Ryan is here.

Ship his ass OUT!
