Drop Kick Murphy's driving to the rink. Then I got drunken celtic music running through my head during the game.

It's usually a wide assortment of rock music, including:

Rev Theory - Hell Yeah
Megadeth - Dread and the Fugitive Mind
Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart

and so many more...

...but if I"m going into a game where I know that I need a big performance and need to play with my wits about me more than with intensity, I listen to Heroes by David Bowie.

Metal.

It seems like someone made a playlist for Ensiferum as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfrYk...f=list_related

I don't listen to it in warmups, more like on the drive to the drink and on headphones. Gets the blood pumping.

Till I collapse was a popular one to blast in the locker room during my high school days. It's sometimes hard to find songs that the whole team can agree on. If I have my headphones on I like to listen to a lot of metal. Recently some All Shall Perish songs get a lot of listens. Songs like Day of Justice, Better Living Through a Catastrophe, True Beast and some of their newer stuff.

lol
the WORST player on my team... is an idiot who drives his jacked up full ton way too fast, drinks way too much after the game to drive home but does...

has an arsenal of all the top end Warrior gear, a grit tower bag, dolomite sticks, wears nothing but Christian Audigier and Lulu crap to and from the game

AND he listens to his hiphop in the dressing room with his headphones cranked lound enough that we all can hear it.

the rest of us? we don't talk or make eye contact with the idiot and play hockey...
he's only on the team cause he's the captain's brother in law... lucky for us the rest of the team is cool and are good players.

No music for me, no need... just "play hockey"
Although, its not bad having the local rink play our alternative radio station during lunch shinny

it used to be Train of Thought-era Dream Theater or Slipknot, but lately its been Volbeat.

there are a bunch of high school kids that play in the adult league with me and they are always listening to their "baby i love you" music, and i have NO IDEA how that can pump you up for a game......

YES I can't believe more people don't know about the song!

I can't listen to it while I'm driving though or I'll wind up doing 160 on the highway! I don't mind listening to a few DMX songs but for the most part I like my rock music, especially for hockey. I also like listening to electronic music as well.

Oh jesus I think we all know that guy. I guess some people want the full hockey player experience when they go to the rink and play. It's as much about acting and feeling like a pro (or rather their perception of a pro) as it is about playing the game.

Another thing I don't get is the people who will spend anywhere from $60 to $120 on a really nice NHL jersey, then start wearing it on the ice for pick up games. Is it really a worthy investment just to look really nice while you stumble and bumble around the ice?

I wear a Leafs jersey on the ice from time to time, but that's because it's a pre-Edge era Chad Kilger jersey that really isn't worth anything anyways.

That's awesome. I've toyed with the idea of bringing out a crusty old boombox I have and putting it in the timekeeper's box for our pick up games.
