Bobby Ryan on the trading block. Pierre Goats to travel with the team to Ana.

So guys purely speculation here. Knowing the Habs and how uselessly passive the Habs organization is. Lets see what we think would get Ryan on the team.

Im thinking

Cammy
Weber
Tinordi
2012 First round

What do you guys think ?

Weber, Tinordi, 1st rounder is a good start.

The least Gautier should do is go to Anaheim...

Bobby Ryan is 24, 6' 2" tall, ~215lbs, and has three straight 30 goal seasons. No one has told me why they have any reason to trade him.

I may be in the minority but that's way too much. Cammy's having an off year but then again so is Ryan. Weber is good trade bait, Tinordi has a lot of potential doesn't he?

One regular 30 goal scorer would be nice.

The only reason that I have heard is salary. The ducks revenue for the past couple of years has been in the red, and they're looking at taking about a 15 million dollar kick in the balls at their current payroll.

That may not be completely correct, given that it was a toronto media piece about how the leafs are totally gonna bag Bobby Ryan.

But it's the only explanation I've heard.

He is not worth that much, he would not score 30 goals as a hab, look at cammy. He gets to play with getzlaf and perry, now get me one of those 2 and i'd be happy

Because EVERY media is saying he's on the block. ANA needs a shake up, that's why.

Some of you have never seen the guy play. Every team dreams of a guy like bobby ryan, and if he`s on the trading block, he will get huge offers, and lots of interest, even from teams that are stacked.

I hate to be 'that guy' but with all the false reports coming out on hfboards habs lately, *ahem* markov returing tonight *ahem*, is there a link that's saying that Gauthier is actually going to Anaheim? I didn't see it in this thread.

I'd maybe trade Cammy + pick for a shake up type deal. No way in hell I'd give up the packages some people are giving up but I guess people figure he'll go at a premium.

Face it folks, Anaheim needs a shake up. I'd laugh if we could get him though, haven't PG and Anaheim made a few deals already?

I would love Bobby Ryan. Not sure what it would take though.

I'm not big on these 3.

Louis Leblanc
Jarred Tinordi
Yannick Weber

Seems like a lot to give, but with Bobby Ryan in a habs uni for the long term, it's a move I would make, if cost is Anaheims concern, it works for them maybe too.

Worry about moving cammy afterwards, it's a move I would send Gomez to the minors over to get done. If you like one of the prospects, replace with another 1st rounder.

We seem to turn 30 goal scorers into something less than that.... Cammy for example. Counting on Ryan to put up big numbers could result in disappointment.

A shakeup means trading your best young player?

Would people be happy if we traded Pacioretty to shake things up?

Pierre Gauthier was the GM for the ducks ...

And Anaheim NEEDS a change. Something is not working for them.

But On serious note, YES. Bobby Ryan is what this team needs. A stronger Younger Core to push out Gomez, Gionta, Darches etc of this team. People want BIG strong players, Ryan is one of them.

Plus (from another perspective) i dont know if most people feel like this, but the habs are so boring its unblieveable. Bobby Ryan, if on the habs, would bring the excitement this team needs on forward position. I mean who else can score a goal with another star players stick . Also most people dont realize he was the pick AFTER sidney crosby.

Look at what we can build around

MaxPac - Eller - Ryan

Subban - Georges

Price

Ill buy 5 extra tickets next year if this happens.

Okay, but how do we get rid of our existing big contracts?

HOSSA!!

Seriously though, I don't think we have the assets to pull of this kind of trade and I think some team somewhere will be willing to make a Kessel like deal which I don't think the habs would.

Unless they want to do quantity over quality.

I'd move any of the following to get Ryan
Cammalleri
1st rounder
Weber
Tinordi
Leblanc

I think there are some teams who are able to offer more than that though.

There's no scenario in which ANA would be interested in trading for Cammy, they're a budget team and they won't move Ryan for an older player who makes more money than Ryan, they would probably ask for something along the lines of Eller + Weber + our 2012 1st and that's too much to give up right now IMHO.

Someone's going to overpay for him and regret it in the end, I just hope it won't be MTL.

IMO they'd ask for Pacioretty, Tinordi + 1st

they have nothing on the left side on offense and need stay-at-home D long-term

no need for Weber in Anaheim, they already have Fowler, Vatanen and Schultz with a similar style of play
