A source close to the situation tells me a Bobby Ryan trade is imminent. Talks have been ongoing for weeks. I'll have a blog up soon.

#Flyers not involved. #Rangers appear to be front runners. A deal "could" be completed by the end of the week. TB showing interest.

All indicators seem to indicate a trade will indeed happen.

Great the Rangers might actually take the division, and the Penguins are looking pretty good too.
This is a bad year now. Go Flyers (in 2012-13)!.

Weird, we have JVR who is a Rangers fan (I think) and the Rangers would have Ryan, who is a Flyers fan... awkward...

So the Rags may land Ryan
Pens got Crosby back healthy while already leading the conference
Caps got a new coach that should give them a kick in the ass in the right direction
Bruins are on fire
...and the Flyers players are dropping like flies
Worst case scenario with our top competition in the east?

Zac Rinaldo will handle Crosby... don't you worry.

Yeah, especially if the Rangers are rumored to get him. I think we have the best assets to get him. Their too good to package together though.

How much better is Bobby Ryan than Matt Read?
Note: this is just a question.

Philadelphia GM's job consist of finding out what the NY teams are doing, and steal that player away

I dunno--just an an example--the answer is... Ryan is a lot better, and he's also younger.

Ryan has him on size, physicality and all offensive categories. Speed and defense are close, not sure.
Remember Ryan was drafted 2nd overall behind Crosby, Read is an undrafted college FA

I don't think the reality is anywhere near that vast.
