He is a coach Anaheim, not a miracle worker.

That team has a **** ton more problems then a coach.

And seriously LOL at the guy who hosts the post game radio show, Duck Calls, after Ducks games. Heard him on NHL Home Ice XM the other day and he sounded like an idiot. Like suggesting the call up Etem.. (HERP) and saying that Hiller has played well (DERP) and that Jason Blake is a huge missing piece (HERP DERP) and that Randy Carlyle would NOT be fired. (HERP DERP HERP DERP)

Carlyle's a better coach then Boudreau in my opinion. Dean would never fire Murray unless we're completely out of it. And I think Carlyles going to Columbus.

it's pretty insane how much movement there's been this season. also kind of insane that the ducks went so far as to even fire their video coordinator (along with the assistant coaches, i believe). talk about cleaning house.

does this make the rumored bobby ryan trade less likely? i'd think management would wait to see how BB does for at least a week or two before they begin (resume?) talks on that front. otherwise what was the point?

Most firings involve the firing of the assistants as well. Not really a surprise. The video coordinator is akin to what Nelson Emerson does for the Kings coaching staff.

true. i suppose i was looking at it with the kings' recent experience in mind, since they brought in an assistant coach on an individual basis. though it did make sense, since stevens worked with murray in the past, and it was under unusual circumstances. is BB bringing his own people in with him, too?

also, apparently carlyle had no idea he was going to be let go last night. i guess in post-game interviews he was talking about the ducks' next game already.

Actually, it makes it MORE likely. Duck management is showcasing their stupidity. This bad move is foreshadowing worse moves yet to come....

As I said on Twitter (and got blasted by a Caps fan funny enough), the Ducks traded one fat old screaming coach for another fat old screaming coach.

Wow. Can't say I agree with the decision. Carlyle was much better. Don't look forward to playing against Selanne, Perry, Getzlaf, and Ryan under Boudreau's system though.

Do they have the D to handle that system? Even with Lubo's return?

The Kings did pretty good when they played the Capitals. Obviously, the Kings will be playing the Ducks more but Is not fraid.

Anyone else find it funny that Boudreau and Carlyle look like they could be brothers?

Who do you think can stuff more hot dogs in their mouth? Boudreau or Carlyle? Someone should start a poll.

I'd say Boudreau. Carlyle's cheeks aren't as big and puffy.

You remind me of the Barry Melrose/Pat Burns squabble in the '93 playoffs
