Not sure if its even if Murray would entertain a deal for the O-Dman, however there may be a scenario that brings back multiple/potential impact players, picks, ect. Does the fact that Rundblad, Cowen, and Wiercioch are 3 young potential top 4 blue-liners help make Karlsson available?

No.
LOL.
Karlsson's going to be one of the games best Dmen.
Lock this up, the obvious consensus answer to this question is obvious and this thread is bound to get derailed by a discussion about defensive play or something.
This guy is 21 and the small market fan base has responded by making him the 2nd leading vote getter in the ASG and leads the team. He's marketable, outstandng, and the face of the movement. He's one of the leagues most untouchable players right now.

why do people always bring up Wiercioch when talking about our future top-4?
why are people clambering to lock this up? this is a legit topic for discussion. gretzky was traded, so why can't anyone be allowed to speculate about king karlsson here?
that being said, there isn't a way in the world that the kid will be traded. he is probably our most important player in our rebuild.
We would still have Rundblad... just saying. I'm pretty sure at one point one of the two will ask for a trade if they can't find a way to work as a PP pairing.
I'm not sure we should keep the two best PP quarterbacks in the game.

Gretzky was traded because he was a UFA that wouldn't talk contract until the end of the year. And his franchise was strapped for cash.
No one wants to talk about...he's more likely to spend 20 years in Ottawa then get traded anytime soon.

Who says they need to be a PP pairing. Why not have 1 one each unit
Cowen, Rundblad and Wiercioch are still unproven commodities. Cowen could end up a Coburn (which is an ok 2nd pairing guy), while Rundblad still has a long way to go to show he is going to be a top pairing guy instead of solid offensive d-man, but a minus defender. Wiercioch could end up being a fringe journeyman. We don't have a lot of elite D talent beyond those three.
A year or two from now, if those three guys do emerge as bonafide top 4 guys, and other guys are also knocking on the door, and we are running into ice-time issues satisfying all of them, then yes, maybe we consider it (after several other options first).
No reason to do a deal like that right now. Personally, I love the idea of having one of Rundblad and Karlsson on each of the top two pairings going forward, with one of them on the ice for 45-50 minutes a game. We're going to be a major problem for teams if those two continue to track in development at their current pace.
Ask Dany Heatley what he thought about being on the 2nd powerplay?
Then have 2 number 1 units. Make it so no one knows which one is the number 1 unit by spreading out the talent and playing them for a minute each. Or hope they get together on the PP.
