No one is untradeable. Ask Wayne.

Lots of players I'd trade him for.

Crosby, Stamkos, Giroux, Malkin, Backstrom, Tavares, Seguin (on the edge)...etc;.

There's only one player I would consider trading Karlsson for: Crosby

I think I would too, I also would take Weber & even the Hamilton/Krejic would be interesting. Karlsson is a world class talent without question but we might be able to make up his pts in other ways. I would hope that Runblad, Hamilton & Wiercioch would be able to make up his pts down the road because it could take a few yrs. Krejic or Weber would help immediately in so many ways. So would Seguin who would become the 2nd line centre & help immediately & put up pts. Then Ottawa could look to draft a kid like Cody Ceci who plays a very good two way game & seems to be right now anyway right around where Ottawa might pick. It`s interesting but I would be amazed if Ottawa would even consider trading Karlsson, I just don`t see it happening unless maybe there is a real problem re-signing him like Hossa. Who thought that would happen?

I'm one of the biggest Karlsson supporters out there. I was stoked when we drafted him, and haven't been happier with any move we've ever made since. Even though it is CLEAR we are NOT moving him, I still think this is a great topic that if everyone would settle down, we could have an awesome discussion about the player, his worth, and others along those lines.

Then of course there's the fact that Seguin isn't proven yet (give him time to put up 80 points in a season and I'll be sold)
Go discuss this on the Boston board, and I bet they call you bad names

All 4 of them were born 8 months apart and the other 3 are so unproven that it would probably take a package of all 3 put together to get a Karlsson from another team.

He wasn't a UFA.
He also wasn't 'traded' so much as he was 'sold'.

What was the issue with him not wanting to talk deal until the end of the season then?

I'd take a 70 point defeceman who can play in all situations over a PPG center easily. #1Cs are much, much easier to find than a talent like EK. I guess people just don't realize it since we're fortunate enough to have him on our team.

Sky's the limit for him.

A trade would have to involve a player at the sky, or a player that will reach the sky.

A guy like Backstrom falls just short.

Karlsson changes the way our team can play, it makes our team faster. I'm not sure any Dman in the league can make his team play faster than he can.

I wouldn't trade him for Crosby. I know he's a great player, but I couldn't support a team with him on it.

Malkin

Kessel

For me to be ok with a Karlsson trade it would have to be something we would be stupid to say no to witch of course would mean we would never be offered it something like Malkin+Letang or Getzlaf+Ryan but again will never happen
