It would be hard to let him go considering the construction of our team. Right now he adds a chemistry to the locker room that we haven't had in years. If that starts to go away we might entertain the thought of trading him because it's true that we have Rundblad (who I think will be better than Karlsson) but again it's not like having a great defensive corps is a bad thing.
To be perfectly honest I would rather keep both. Potentially we could have two of the top 5 D-men in the league in a few years. Why give it up?
why are people clambering to lock this up? this is a legit topic for discussion. gretzky was traded, so why can't anyone be allowed to speculate about king karlsson here?
that being said, there isn't a way in the world that the kid will be traded. he is probably our most important player in our rebuild.
Gretzky was traded because Pocklington ran into finacial trouble because of his involvement in the meat packing industry.I was in Edmonton in those days he was public enemy no. one.Took him a few years but he publically admitted that. That was the beginning of his collapse finacially. But NONONO in the middle of a rebuild that is going good ya cant trade your no. one young guy.
EK is a lock to be a star in this league for a very long time. You watch him for 5 seconds and it's blatantly obvious. I would entertain an offer, but it would have to be crazy good. The kind of trade that almost never happens.
