John Tortorella would not be happy with all you predictors out there. As far as he's concerned, you're all 14 games ahead of yourselves. Having that said! It's a busy busy month with a lot of drama happening namely the WC, I would be tremendously happy with anything .600 and above, hopefully deriving largely from wins as opposed to a delicate balance of W and OTL/SOL so that Hank can get his well deserved Ws.

I can't see us winning more than 8 or 9 of those. Gotta be realistic. It's hockey--you're going to lose to some crap teams.

6-5-4 If Hank will be his usual.
9-4-2 if Lundqvist continues to put current numbers with sound help from Biron.

Never bet on hockey or basketball. Too unpredictable on a game-by-game basis. Looking over the schedule I'd be happy with 9-4-2, but couldn't tell you where those wins and losses are going to come from.

What do you mean by his "usual" though? Your take on his "usual", ie:you have something nice to say about him but really just think he's "eh", or how's he's played for the majority of this season?

I think he means the normal December slump that Hank goes through.

Yep. Lundqvist has never been better. In other words he is being unusual.

having said that, goal-tending will be a reason if we win more.. which might actually happen because Biron was a great backup so far

So... we have the least regulation losses in the entire NHL, the highest winning percentage in the entire NHL and are tied for second or third, point-wise in the NHL, with a few games in hand on every single team that is either tied or ahead of us. We are only 3 points back from the most points in the NHL, with 4 games in hand on the leading team. Who would have thought? Hopefully we can keep this going.

I'd be relatively happy with 8 wins. Hoping for 10 though.

I'm loving this. We can do it. I really do think we can do 9, 10, or 11 wins.

It's the "november slump", where people conveniently completely ignore that the team in front has also played like horse manure during more than monthly long stretches during his "slumps".

I remember games in november when we basically gave up 18 quality scoring chances, whereas 4 were breakaways in the first ten minutes of the 1st period. In one game. And then they blame Hank's "slump" that we lost, because he didn't bail out the team as usual.

Let's just say some of the guys on these boards aren't exactly goaltending scout material. They've would passed on Hasek or Roy, because they witnessed a softie once.

They have to take it one game at a time. Don't overlook any team, they can't look ahead. That's how teams get upset by teams they should beat, they are looking and thinking too far ahead.

One game at a time.
