Moen shooting wasn't a bad choice. He's been great this year with his moves, nearly scored too.

Plek sucks in the shootouts.

I dislike shootouts, mainly when we lose them

Since Halak sucks so bad now, can we get him back just for shootouts?

His attempt wasn't that bad and anything is better than Plek in the SO

Much better effort but blowing a lead late in the 3rd and losing in the SO still sucks.. We just can't afford to be losing points..

Bring on the fire JM posts for using Moen in the SO..

The Habs looked much better tonight than they did last game.

Great game by DD, Cole, and Cammy.

Price made a few great saves.

We got a point in SJ.

LL is looking sharp for a 20 year old rookie. Making all the right plays and knows where to be on the ice. He also made a great pass to put Eller in alone on the SJ goalie.

Go Louie. make your stay longer than 3 games.

Different team, same result.

Cole was good, DD was good, Cammalleri was good.

The rest? Meh.

I disagree on the Shootout. Price made the save he needed too. Unfortunately sending out Moen with the game on the line isnt the sharpest idea from ELF.

Also, if you blame Price for the shootout, you have to blame your own shooters for not scoring as well.

Moen and Subban on the SO.
Someone wants to be fired

Great game by DD, Cammy and Cole.

Price is still an average goalie on the SO.
He's so vulnerable to low shots.

As for Emelin..I like how he hits but can the guy pass? He hasn't shown us that yet. I think he missed his last 12 pass attempts in the game.

Bottom line is that this team does not know to win.

I'm sure there a bet behind the bench, Cunneyworth bet Martin he wouldn't put Moen out there.

Can someone remind me of Price's shootout stat during the WJC game against the US?

Edit: nvm, Arpon Basu stands corrected.

i liked the emotion shown from price banging his stick a few times on the ice...good road game i guess but this team is jinxed or something...can never keep a lead it seems

Is Moen really any worse in the SO than Pleks and AK? We might as well have used Emelin.

I only got up at 4:30pm today. So this is pretty early for me.

Overall a fairly decent effort, especially from Eller. The shootout choices were surprisingly better than expected, although I would have gone with Eller and Kostitsyn over Cammalleri and Moen. Considering the Sharks are a powerhouse and we managed to keep up with them. I'm content to leave this game without dissecting how much Martin sucks.

It's not like Halak is doing any better. He has a .400 S% in the shootout this season...

That is an ugly stat!

This is another point the team has throw away this week, the other being the OT loss to the Pens. You cannot do that and expect to make the playoffs.

It was an decent performance given how depleted our team is in the last few weeks but is still a loss, nevertheless. sigh.

BTW, Price is dreadful in shootouts!

He's playing too deep to avoid getting deked out of his jock.

In 07-08 Price gave up 4 shootout goals on 22 attempts, it's most his mechanics right now. It can be fixed but man, it's frustrating in the short term. It's really 2 areas that keep getting exposed. He's over thinking.

Players I'd rather see shoot over Moen in shootout: AK, Leblanc, Eller, Youppi

Apart from the loss, Cammy, Eller, Desharnais and really good game. Emelin make a few mistake, but still looked great out there (What a hit!).
