I'm pretty sure MacKinnon and Monahan are out of reach.

But I fear Burke will go for Jones and the Leafs will give up 2 1st round picks, 3 solid roster players (like Schenn, Gunnarsson, Frattin, Reimer), plus a prospect or two (McKegg, Mikus, Ross, Holzer, Aulie).

Of course, the 2013 pick could be traded for Bobby Ryan (plus another 1st and a second rounder, of course).
This post has just so much fail in it its not even funny. Get the **** outta here lol.

Ah, but one never knows.

I'd like to see how Eric Roy and Ryan Pulock stack up, being on the same team and all.

Just wondering, I'm not criticizing, but why would Taylor Cammarata have dropped down to 27. He has picked up his point production and is doing very well now in the USHL (3rd in scoring). I thought he should have been a top 15. And I'm glad to see J.T. Compher in the new installment of the next twenty, as I'm a midwest guy.

VCR is not a first rounder at this point. Guys like Lindholm, Sorensen, Wallmark and Burakovsky should be ranked above him.

Possler is clearly ahead of him too. VCR has the potential though.

Danish left winger Oliver Bjorkstrand (b. 1995, Herning Blue Fox) should be regarded as one of the European top players for the 2013 draft. As of now, he has 10 goals and 6 assists for 16 points in 23 games in the top tier Danish men's league.

For comparison had Nicklas Jensen 12 goals and 14 assists in 34 games in the 2009-10 season, playing also for the Herning Blue Fox.

Oliver Bjorkstrand is expected to be part of the Danish team that will compete at the World juniors later this month.

I have only seen very little of him so far but the first reports of him says that he is a natural goal scorer with good speed and a great shot.

Two clips from recent performances - keep in mind that he is playing against men:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIzRN...g&feature=plcp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaW6n6vlJSM - 2 goals

Oliver is #10 on the blue-shirted team. His older brother Patrick (b. 1992) is #11.

I simply can't see anyone except for Seth Jones at number 1. He's gona be soo good this kid. I believe this is one of the best top 3 draftee for the last 25 years at the very least.

1st.Seth Jones
2nd.Nathan MacKinnon
3rd.Sean Monahan

Is it just me or those the draft 2013 looks better then the draft 2012. How can the top 30 2013 player have better stats then the top 30 2012.

True, and 2012 is not considered as a "bad" year, 2013 just look creazy right now. I don't say it will, but...it could really end like 2003 Draft.

Mackinnon is the "next crosby"
Barkov is the youngest player to do what he do in the Sm Liiga.
Jones is considered as THE next defensman.
Monahan, Shinkaruk, Cammarata and also Duclair and Erne who have really good stats for 16 year old kids.

And it's also supposed to be a good year for Sweden with Possler, Crus-Rydberg, Sorensen(well it's a Dan), Lindholm, etc.
Also Soberg who could be the best Norwegian player ever, Dano who already play with mens... This is really the draft that i enjoy the most!! Even the 2012 stanley cup winner could draft a superstar.

Watched about 10 games this year. I would say Pulock is the better of the two defensively and offensively, he has a great set of hands, first pass and a powerful shot. Roy has a lot of upside and plays a bit tougher than Pulock.

Pulock skates very well, size, hockey sense, positionaly well, great shot and first pass ability. His only knock is he is much like Robak was and doesn't have a mean streak.

Expect both to go high based on how next year shapes up!

It would be good to see a lot of these players in action, but I'm not close to any town, and so maybe in the next year I'll be somewhere else and see the family with me. Good crop of developing D men, forwards coming along nicely in many cases. Who is the Joe Sakic of this bunch?

Checking the stats, Pulock and Roy are still doing well, Klimchuk and Forsberg are up as is Duclaire, Ranking and Shinkaruk are hot, Domi, Monahan, Mackinnon are strong, Lazar is not doing as well, others I still need to check up on. Seeing them in play would be nice.

Nice to see Duclair in the top 10. Big climbing by Hudson Fasching too. Soberg was top 30 and now he's not in the top 50, why? Is it because he didn't score in U20 D1?

Pretty CHL-biased list. Lacks Elias Lindholm from Sweden who is better prospect than Robert Hägg and Jacob De La Rose should be definetly in 1st round. Gustav Possler should be ahead them too. Also Artturi Lehkonen from finland should be atleast in top 50 most likely top 30. MacKinnon didn't impress me at all at U-17. Yes, i have limited views from him but based on those games Barkov is better than MacKinnon but i honestly believe that MacKinnon can do better than that. Should be good race of 3 for the 1st overall MacKinnon, Barkov and Jones and there is always Monahan and other risers but we have to remind that MacKinnon and Barkov are both nearly 1 year younger than Jones and Monahan which will affect especially when Barkov is most NHL-ready foward despite being youngest top prospect. In the end i'll guess it's race between MacKinnon and Barkov but everything can happen.

Looks as if a few players are finding a second wind in 2012. Klimchuk has stepped up a bit, Rankin is steady, Shinkaruk still hot, and others coming on too. Nice to see.

Based off what I saw last weekend, A. Forsber would be lucky to get drafted in the top 3 rounds.

Shinkaruk was okay. Looked lost without Etem and played on the perimeter for the most part. His defensive play and strength were both below average.

I was expecting more out of Lazar too. Smart player, good at both ends, but lacked the dynamic offensive game. Seemed very rigid and uncreative offensively. But very, very smart. 200 foot player.

I've been a big fan of Morrissey since last years Macs Midget. His skating is just so smooth. Very smart, puckmover. Needs to continue to improve his defensive play. Should go around 15-25.

He's 5'10 168lbs playing in the Q. Barkov is 6'2 205 playing in Finland's top league, and the second strongest league in Europe behind the KHL. Barkov will put up about 25 points this year and most likely 40 next year. At this point, I'd rather take Barkov.

Don't get me wrong, I think MacKinnon has higher potential. But it's not much.

Have to remember that a few of these guys are 2 years, really, younger than others, and they are still hitting highlight stats. Some just miss the 2012 draft, some barely make the 2013. That counts for a lot right now. Next year, not so much. By then, things even out more with age/growth/experience. We'll see who's hot then, but being good now says an awful lot.
