Really should switch hecht and adam. Hecht played better when he wasn't on the top line.

Leino-Adam-Kassian has had some good chemisty, Luke and Zack in particular. It looks like they're trying to build on that.

Id still feel more comfortable having hecht on the line with leino....not to be trusted in the defensive zone.

I'm still lobbying to have it called the AVP or Aliens Vs Predator line

Which makes sense, given how those two clicked with Foligno during the Traverse City tourney...

A little worried about the lack of footspeed/defensive responsibility on that line, but it has some potential. Perhaps if Adam is still looking good Lindy can flip him and Jochen.

Thank you! I was about to comment that this problem has not gone away (as some of us hoped it might early on) and remains a (the) top priority acquisition.

The Ducks/Sabres trade thread had me drooling over what it would be like if we had Getzlaf here at Center. All this cr*p about a #1 Center/big line would finally be moot.

I don't ordinarily wish bad karma on folks but I sincerely do hope that Bruce completely craps out in Anaheim..........

Lines make sense to me. Frustration with VHP is misplaced imho - Vanek and Pommers had cooled off long before they were put with Hecht. The last period they looked dominant in was the 3rd vs Montreal (beginning of the Roy experiment). Before that (during the beginning of Adam's suckage) and since (With Roy and only recently Hecht) they've been out of synch, but I think the best move at this point is to let them work it out with Hecht. Both Hecht and Vanek have proven chemistry with Pommers, and its not as if Hecht is playing individually poorly (on the contrary, he's been one of our best since his return), or has no track record at center (played it frequently for us including nearly all of last year after Roy went down, and played it pretty darn well).

If one thing is bothering me about Ruff this year, it's Gragnani. Playing him with everyone healthy was a head-scratcher. Forcing him PP minutes after diminishing the value of having a power play is even more of a head-scratcher.

But very nice
Seriously. Gragnani makes me cringe every time he touches the puck. He does show flashes of offensive skill but his defensive liabilities are way too freaking high right now. Also here's another vote to keep the VAP line in tact. Fun line to watch and with all that skill on the wing it really opens things up a bit for Adam to do his thing.
