WOW Razor save of the year so far!! And against Alfredsson to top it off.. Of course it was bad when Kari got injured but I for one had and have the trust in Raycroft all along.
NICEstrom keeps bangin' them in, Radek also finding his stride going forward and knows how to score, when getting a chance. Vincour again took a big hit(clean this time) and managed to get a point also. I think we should give him the Isle game even if Morrow manages to get healthy. The captain is more needed in that 2 game trip to the West coast.
So despite our awful attendance.... We brought in the second most money for Movember among NHL teams -_-
Yeah I heard that as well......wondering how, exactly.
Interestingly enough, the team that sold more, Toronto, happened to come in for our first sellout of the season. Maybe some transplants picked up the slack a bit? Who knows, lol....

Echoing that our 3rd line is awesome. Say what you want about losing Brad and "bolstering depth," but its been working out perfectly for us so far. Our 3rd line is boss and steps up in games where one of the top 6 lines is quiet. WTF was our third line last year anyone remember? Ott-Wandell-Burish? Peterson-Wandell-Burish after the Neal trade? Horrible.
Raycroft 2-0 since becoming the temporary starter too. Raycroft's blocker save right to Michalek was pretty horrible rebound control, but it was a pretty fluke goal too. Overall I've been happy with Raycroft, but only under the assumption that Kari will be back in a few weeks. No way I could handle him longer than that.
Should have Morrow, Daley, and Goligoski back before the Pacific road trip too. Getting these wins while the big boys are hurt is awesome.
Getting a little worried about Benn and Loui though. They're doing everything right but can't seem to bury a goal.
As a stat watcher in getting a little irritated by it, but im far from worried. They're both getting tons and chances and just aren't finishing, it's not like they're getting shut down. They're going through a drought right noe and eventually it will builld up and the flood gates will open.
Visiting the Senators GDT after the game, I had a hunch that I might find some mad fan's scribbling along the lines of, "I am glad we only have to play the Stars once a year. When we play against them, the games are so boring; no wonder they have no fans in the stands."
I stand corrected! I couldn't find that written there at all! If I did though, I would most definitely post this...
But I didn't find that written there. That was posted only for letting you know what I would have done.

Ya it was really annoying, they seem oblivious to the fact that the game being boring was half their own team's fault too lol. Lot of ignorance in popular team's GDTs.
That 2nd period was so awful. It was nice to see the powerplay score but there are still big issues to be resolved there.
In the 3rd period it seemed Vincour decided that if he was in the zone he was going to shoot. He got a couple of good chances in as a result. I hope this selfishness becomes a more regular part of his game.
Raycroft made an amazing last save and kept his team in it despite some puck issues. What can you say about Fiddler-Dvorak-Nystrom? Man has that line been awesome. This team is sitting in the cellar without their contributions.

Not sure what attendance has to do with Movember. Don't the players raise money from friends and family? Actually, it seems pretty retarded that they don't have a way to donate at the games themselves; they'd make more money for sure.

That's what I assumed was going on.....maybe 50/50 draws at every game or something, with proceeds going towards cancer research.
