The Kings Powerplay Streak

Three games (against Nashville, Chicago and Detroit).

Zero for 21 on the PP (0-5 against NSH, 0-9 against Chicago and 0-7 against Detroit).

37 minutes and 21 seconds on the man-advantage in those three games (13 against NSH, 13:10 against Chicago and 11:11 against Detroit).

20 shots on goal in total on the powerplay in those three games (7 against Nashville, 8 against Chicago and 5 against Detroit).

Looks like whatever they are trying in practice isn't exactly translating well during game-time.

What they should try in practice is for the PK to emulate what Nashville, Chicago and Detroit did.... then the PP unit will be forced to come up with some alternate solutions. As one of the Kings radio broadcasters pointed out on the post game show last night, the Red Wings have had Maltby and Draper playing together as a unit for 8 years or so, and when they watch films of successful PK units against another team's PP, they can then just adapt it to their game plan. I think the Kings ought to practice defending against solid PK efforts like they've seen the last few games and perhaps they can build a little confidence, even if they can't build a successful entry into the offensive zone In today's crossword puzzle... 8 letters across... the clue is: Anson Carter's Head or Kings Power Play... If this is a thread to track the skid itself, Idont think it'll last very long. As bad as the power play is, they're sure to score at least one goal within the next few games. Now, that being said, I think we all know what needs to be done to fix the PP. So the only question that remains is who exactly is going to step up and kidnap Van Boxmeer's family.
