Butler, Konopka or Filatov should be sitting.

I'd suggest Filatov and let Butler run on the top line. They were stagnant against Dallas. That also puts together a 4th line of Winchester-Konopka-Neil, which frankly would be terrible to play against.

Wow... Filatov was the best from this line against Dallas, plays verygood after recall and sit... good job.

I would not understand why Butler should be HS too. He has played good if he is HS... it will bestrange for me. IMO Konopka is the best candidate.

I disagree. If we ever want Filatov to pan out as a top 6 player the next couple of games are crucial for him. The faster that he gets his first goal the better. I thought in the last two games he played okay is is gaining more confidence, he just needs needs or luck luck and/or not unlucky...

With that said, it's going to be awesome seeing Neil in the lineup.

Exactly. While Filatov hasn't particularly stood out outside of that one nice wrap around against Dallas, he hasn't been a detriment to the team either, and he's obviously up with the big team for a very distinct reason. I think he should get at least another two or three games on the top lines to prove himself. Until his situation is sorted out, I see no reason why Konopka, Butler, and Daug can't be rotated in and out of the lineup. They all seem to do just fine coming in off the bench, and the team doesn't loose too much stability (although I suppose breaking up the current third line would have a bit more of an impact).

We've kind of put ourselves in an odd position being on the bubble for a playoff spot. If we were playing horrible like we were expected to be at the start of the season, we could afford to give all the young guys lots of games to shake out who's got real potential and who we could get rid of. As it is, each game matters and our conference is so tight that one good/bad night makes all the difference.

Gord Wilson is saying Filatov is likley sitting tonight.

WIlson is essentially Murray's parrot, so that may mean that Filatov is out of favour.

They should rotate the outside of region/hd game team (with an all canadian game automatically getting the rights) not just Toronto

I get the HD feed in Ottawa on Rogers but if you don't have it then you could try an antenna OTA chan 4.1. I tested it last year before I got the hd box and it's fantastic.

Thank you RDS for broadcasting the Sens game tonight. Otherwise I would be stuck watching Toronto vs Boston on CBC.

CBC can suck my suck!

Well I'm ranting mostly because of what Millbury just said on HNiC...
Why do people say Ovechkin can't think the game and only relies on natural talent? He's got insane hockey IQ, what he doesn't have is a consistent work ethic right now. Two very different things. You don't score 60 goals if you can't think the game.

Wow, seriously? Not a big Filatov fan but surely he needs to play a few more games(in a row) so we can get a better look at him. Very poor decision if confirmed.

it better not be the daug sitting tonight. konopka or better yet butler better be out before the daug is left out. and while i could see filatov sitting out, i really think we need to give filatov a solid 4-5 games in our top 6 before we sit him.

I do not understand why he should be... only if injury returns because he played very good.

When he said that he hadn't spoken to Stache since 11:00 am and the coach said he still didn't know. That was pure speculation by Wilson. They should know by now though depending on who had the pregame skate. Team1200 is too busy yakking about the Caps to update us.

I don't have the Team on, but if they update the scratch list let us know.
