Thank God...an actual lead......fantastic shot 19.

Still no breakout or PP.

You got all that off one 15 second soundbite?

What happened to the OV that drove the net and scored a goal while he was sliding past the goal on his back? There he once again drives down the side and tries to shoot between the D-man's legs. If I was Uncle Teddy I might be looking for a refund.

Should we start keeping track of how many no look passes are attempted that get intercepted? I got 2 so far.

Is there a slower shot in the league than Schultz's?

Dear Orlov, when you are open for your bomb of a shot, don't pass to Jeff Schultz and his weak ****.

Someone needs to explain to Orlov that he needs to take the one timer from the point, not JFS.

I don't know why Orlov didn't take the shot. I can't wait until Green comes back so Schultz never sees a PP again.

Not terrible. Outshot, but it didn't really feel like it -- mostly chip shots from the perimeter. Should've been 2-0, but it isn't.

Hunter has the chore of fixing the offense and the defense and the D is already noticeably improved, so I'm willing to wait on the offense catching up.

Edit: And ffs stop passing to Schultz in the offensive zone unless he's there for a layup. That shot kills so much momentum.

I'm starting to think we need a top RW more than anything now that Orlov has stepped up on Defense. That Backstrom goal was a beauty and due to double team on Ovechkin. Getting a top line RW would take away from double teaming Ovechkin. No offense to Brouwer, I think he does a good job at his role.

Lol, I was just saying why to Schultz. Orlov sure has the rocket to blast the puck.

Is it not possible to put OV at the RW spot? Or is something like that not done? He had that nice pass to Nickey for a goal from the right side. Something needs to be done because the LW version of OV is broken.

And it sure sounded like Smokin Al just called Nickey "Dick Backstrom".

I think Ovechkin could play RW personally. Meanwhile, Don Cherry praising DH.
