Someone wanted to know why Kassian went in the first round? A man who can fight like him should not have that much skill..

I NEVER want a player to get a puck to the face, let me preface this with that. But why couldn't it have been Gragnani...

Grags is +2 tonight baby.

On both goals he was about the only Sabre to not be involved in the play, but +2. lol.

....And Ehrhoff goes down. Great.

Eh, that sequence is on Gaustad for making a bad pass in front of his own net that wound up staying in the zone. Gragnani hasn't been bad tonight. He's playing well beyond what they likely would like but having at least two regular D-men out is going to do that. I like that there was a sign of life there, a little pulse physically on that shift. To quote Slapshot... bleed all over 'em, let 'em know you're there!

Agreed. Big sigh of relief there.

Sounds like Erhroff came back. Phew. Let's hope they don't change their mind and stick him in the quiet room during the intermission.

Nashville might have a matchup issue with their 3rd/4th lines against Adam-Leino-Kassian. They had one against for both trio.

Miller looking great. Absolutely love Kass + Adam. I would like to see two high energy/motivated players with Leino on the same line. He has the skills, he just needs other lineups who will do most of the work. He can finish. Anyone notice us in the last 10 minutes spending nearly 9 minutes in our own end with Preds cycling all over...We are getting outplayed, but I will take the 2-0 any day.

Even with the injury, the Hoff played 8:24 for the period.

Kassian is a freakin beast. They can't send him down when he plays like that.

Hope Hoff is ok. Had two bad giveaways but we can't afford losing another D.

VAP needs to be reunited.....

at least Ehrhoff is back. It's just about impossible to replace a guy who plays 30 minutes a night.

I was speaking/complaining more on Grags performance last night (I know we have a separate thread for that)

Elliotte Friedman between periods during HNiC just said the Sabres are sticking to Miller being diagnosed with a concussion.

Eh. He got left in no-man's land on the Hecht give-away driven goal by Filppula. I didn't actually mind him that much last night. *shrug* I don't love him, but I didn't hate him last night.

No, pomminville and vanek need to play like a first line. It shouldn't matter who is between them. We need those guys to show up every night.

Four Conferences discussion in the HNiC round table. Seven teams proposed relating to Buffalo would be Buffalo, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Boston, Florida and Tampa. Criminy. No easy meat there.

Yeah..... Preds execution is excellent and text book. Wish Sabres had more of that in their playbook...

Yeah, I was just watching that. It didn't look terrible, though I like the current system. It would all depend on how the playoffs work for me. If it's the top 4 from each conference, I'd be pissed if my team was in a conference of 8.
