He's playing third-line minutes for the Habs and, really, there's no reason not to keep him up. He's burning his ELC regardless. So long as he gets icetime, he can develop with the Habs, and he certainly looks NHL-caliber as it is.

I'd like to see more games from him, if he can keep this pace up.. then yeah for sure. At this point, with a little lack of depth, he can really help compared to Palushaj, but what happens when White returns? Unless a trade gets made. The way I see it, he might play until White returns.

If he plays this well and he gets these minutes.. than all for it.. but if he's pushed to the 4th. Forget it. But hearing Martin talk about him during the post game, you can see he's a big fan..

It's going to be interesting to see how much this team changes when everyone is healthy.

It will be more interesting the way the crowd reacts to him on Tuesday.

i agree keep him till white gets back.

4th line minutes wouldn't be best for him

Never thought I'd say it this season, but KEEP THE KID. He's making mistakes that he's expected to make, but he recovers well and sees the ice excellently.

On the AK goal, he stopped at the blue line and I was ready to throw a fit. Then he made that gorgeous pass to Eller and I was like :O

If we can send Leblanc down so Blunden can go with the big team again...

Then again, we know Leblanc can play RW at a 3rd-line level in the NHL.

Great game today from the kid. Leblanc has a nose for the puck.

I dont think he's ready for the NHL physically but he definitly has the Hockey IQ and Vision to compete in the NHL right now.. Its only 3 games so hopefully he keeps progressing but regardless I think this has been a good learning experience for him to learn what it takes to compete in the NHL much like with Paccioretty at the begining of last season.

I already see him as a lock for a NHL career barring injury. I can't see him not make it.

He is better than Palushaj/St. Denis and Darche so yes he should stay.

Martin obviously finds him more useful than those players if we look at how he has been utilized. He even plays him late in games which is a sign of trust.

If anything, he is at least jumped past Palushaj on the depth chart/call-up order.

If he maintains this level of play I don't see why we would send him down.

He can progress in the NHL because he is a very smart player.

The only knock on him is his strength which is something that can only really be worked on during the off-season.

Leblanc has earned more games. I think JM thinks so too, which is great. I liked the Leblanc - Eller - AK line, so much skill and speed.
As long as the kid shows he can play and helps the team out, he should stay. We need the depth.

Play White on the 4th, Leblanc on the 3rd. Problem Solved.

EDIT : Ehhh... Forgot that Pacioretty was suspended...

Palushaj goes down before Leblanc. In three games Louis has shown me more than Palushaj in 20 0dd games.

To be honest if I was GM I would use Gomez's absence to evaluate Leblanc's game. If the kid can contribute right now - and I have a gut feeling he can - then I would look to trade, give away or cut loose the G-spot.

That's the thing. Leblanc is probably the guy who can definitely kick Gomez out of the lineup. Being able to play C helps a bit.

A trade or two is on the horizon regardless of how well this team does or dosen't do - once... if... players come back from injury, we will be over the limit and not many of these guys can be sent down without getting waived.

I believe Weber has to clear waivers - not sure about St.Denis, Diaz or Emelin and Palushaj and Leblanc don't need to be waived.

If he is going to be a 3rd line guy, i would keep him up, wouldn't want to see him waste time on the 4th line better to get the minutes in Hamilton

That would mean Dumbo benching Darche, and that won't ever happen.

The only way to keep Leblanc is to get rid of Gomez... I don't see Gauthier actually doing that, either, even if he really should.

I agree trade Gomez and replace him in the top 9 with LL.

Cammy-Plekanec-Cole
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gionta
Kostitsyn-Eller-Leblanc
Moen?-Nokelainen?-White

Use the money saved on Gomez, Gill, and Spacek to lockup Price, Subban, Gorges, Kostitsyn and Emelin...

I think LeBlanc needs a full yaer AHL, he can get by in the NHL right now because he is a smart intense player...but he will develop better by playing AHL a full year instaed of getting rushed(see Pacioretty at 20).

Before getting rid of Gomez I'd like to see him get about 10 games in with decent linemates, I still think he can be a solid contributor and he costs nothing. Easy to say sending him down will open up 7 mil of cap room, but who do you use it on and what does that player cost to acquire?

I don't think he should stay up indefinitely, but while Gomez/White are still out, I think he has a place in the lineup...

Pacioretty-Plekanec-Gionta
Cammalleri-Desharnais-Cole
Kostitsyn-Eller-Leblanc
Darche-Nokelainen-Moen

Palushaj showed less in his 15+ games than Leblanc did in 3...
