I'm not going to harp on the easy play, but on that stick swinging **** he does. He swiped his stick towards the boards without purpose, and it probably emboldens the Rangers player to make the pass because he knows that MAB gives up and/or doesn't know what to do, and certainly isn't going to come at him.
Think. What's more dangerous? Dumping it around the boards, or knifing it to the front of the goal? I get that he may have wanted to try to salvage the play, and gone passive, hoping to intercept the pass, but the play was broken, and MAB should at least know what to do when that happens. Every sequence can't start with him, after he breaks the one he walks into.
