NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We have a bunch of guys here who were probably pretty happy winning this game, starting with the guy behind the bench and a couple of players that were down here and have some great memories.
I'm happy for all of them. This was a real good road game. And the best part is how we responded in the third.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I think the guys are buying into it. The style of play we want to play, play a hard simple game which allows us to make simple plays and create chances to score some goals like tonight.
- Derek Stepan

I didn’t think we played bad through the game. I thought we spent a lot of time in their end zone. As the game went on, we spent more and more. It’s what we wanted to do.
We wanted to play our game, and I think by the third period we created a lot of turnovers and just grinded away and again stayed with it and found a way to score some goals.
- John Tortorella

Destroy the defense.

Make it 13 out of 15.

Gustavsson in goal tomorrow night.

Jonas Siegel
Jonas Gustavsson starts Monday in New York. Had one of his better games this season there in October.

Toronto is a similar team to us: young, brash, up-and-coming. The difference is that we have better goaltending, though their guy isn't bad either. Let's turn this into 2 points, boys!

The Rangers play a much more stable defensive system.

The Leafs do look promising, though, IMO. Solid top-6, good, young defense, and Reimer is going to be excellent, IMO.

They're going back to Gustav? Damn. Really.

We better make it tougher for him this time around.

Come on - let's avoid being the last Original Six team to get to 2500 wins.

(Chicago hasn't done it yet either.)

I lol'd so ****ing hard when Leave fans tried to claim that James Reimer was this great up and coming goalie.
