Canucks fan coming in peace. I was wondering what Philadelphia's needs are and what would it take to acquire Tom Sestito and maybe even Braydon Coburn?

To acquire Tom Sestito, nothing less than:
Henrik Sedin
(action figure)
Seriously though, we need future NHL defensemen... that's our primary need.
And since Sestito is pretty NHL ready and could probably play on our 4th line (if not for Shelley / Rinaldo), you'd probably need to either flip us a pick or a defensive prospect w/ a legit chance @ making the NHL to make it worth our while.
Perhaps something like Patrick McNally or Sebastian Erixon.
Nothing against Tochkin, just don't need anymore longshot forward prospects. We're pretty well set there for years and years.

Well seems like most Flyer fans are fine with a long shot prospect and their need is a defenseman so maybe a long shot defenseman? The Canucks are thin at defense and need their top d prospects and McNally is one of them.

IIRC Sestito would have to be waived on recall to play in the NHL... but I may be wrong... I couldn't say who Homer would consider, but I believe they like him as depth in his role. I'd imagine a decent prospect with a lower draft selection kicker would get Homer's ear... but only a guess. Sestito I'm sure can be in play.
Coburn on the other hand is a completely different story... Homer has just signed him for a nice extension that seems fair for both sides. He is a reliable D-man on a team that puts a lot of weight on them and needs a minutes eater such as he is with their top two D-men up in years and one in a rough stretch of luck health-wise of late. I'd guess that you'd have to blow Homer's socks off with an inflated overstocked offer and be able to convince him to change gears and put his money on Carle in an extension in Coburns place... Just how bad would the Canucks want Coburn? I bet they don't want him bad enough... but again, only a guess on my part.
After all that, I guess I told you nothing along the lines of what you were seeking... sorry.

Give us a late 3rd this year (or early 4th this year) so we can try to draft Hyka. That's for Sestito.
Coburn is currently not available for anything less than a Coburn upgrade.

So maybe Taylor Ellington or Peter Andersson?
Offering someone of = value Sestito gives us no motivation to trade him.
If we're not upgrading the team and we're happy w/ having Sestito as a backup plan in case of injuries, why deal him?
We already have 2 fringe NHL defensemen in Bourdon and Marshall. And we've got another potential 2 in Bartulis and Manning.
Either a 3rd or 4th rounder or an upgraded prospect on defense. That would have to be the price to entice us.
Flyers need to turn a young high-potential forward into a young high-potential defenseman. Put a top prospect Dman with Timonen and Pronger to learn the game, and let him anchor the D for the next decade.
