That wouldn't be surprising. He just generally seems unlikeable...not in the Hartnell "the competition-hates-him-but-teammates-love-him" sort of way.

I'm also eager to see how Torts and Lavi work.

Actually, if this means he is fresher and more healthy during the playoffs then it is good. My main concern is Timonen playing 30 minutes a night for 4 weeks - I heard Spielberg originally tried casting him for Warhorse.

This defense is so soft without Pronger unless Coburn turns his mean streak on. Puck battles in front of the net are going to be a real concern. I hope the goalies are working on their rebound control.

Q: When did you have your surgery and how are you feeling?

Pronger: I had the surgery on Tuesday afternoon. Iím feeling okay just ice and elevation, trying to get the swelling out and I start my rehab tomorrow.

Q: Holmgren said the other day that you would be out for 4 weeks. Are you optimistic that it will be four weeks? Do you think you could be back sooner than that?

Pronger: I have no idea. Again, I had surgery two days ago, so once I start getting my rehab going, as I progress through that Iíll know a bit more. Gauging off of when I had my other knee done a couple of years ago, a month sounds about right, but again, it may be 3 weeks, it may be 6 weeks, I donít know. We just kind of gave a ballpark number because we donít really know.

Very sorry to hear Pronger's out again. Coming from Montreal, where our best defenseman, Andrei Markov, has been off and on for years with recurring knee injuries, I really hope Chris isn't rushed back too quickly, only to reinjure himself like Markov did.

Pronger; I NEVER felt like this

And they are named Carter and Richards! Sabatoge!

All kidding aside...this whole Pronger situation is disconcerting. I mean the concussion symptoms termed as a "virus" right now is really bad news.

Sigh.....

Q: Was there anything that you did when you played that would have contributed to this injury?

Interesting, Reimer has been out for weeks with concussion like symptoms, Pronger has concussion like symptoms but they're called a virus. I think teams are shying away from calling it a concussion because alarms go off when the word is uttered.

Miller was out with a concussion and I think I saw somewhere that he's implying it wasn't all that concussiony.

I wonder if the "HEADSHOTTTTT AWARENESSSS" campaign has gotten so intense that it's having a negative impact? It's weird this is all happening.

What's the deal with this "virus"? Pronger suffered from some allergic reaction when he had his other knee fixed - I don't remember what they injected him to speed up recover but it fired back and prolonged the whole procedure ... maybe the medical staff messed up again and they just won't admit that this is the side effect to some treatment.

Gagne's neck issues last year ended up being attributed to injections he received as a Flyer.

What the hell are they shooting into these guys?

So they're introducing small samples of Shelley into their system so they will develop complete immunity to useless and overpaid?

No, apparently it was some experimental crap with Gagne.

Oh. Well, there is something else something else - a series of 3 shots that lubricates a joint. It only works part of the time. That's the last step I have before I have to do knee replacement. Maybe it was that.

Strangely enough, the doctor has told me that it is made up of ground up rooster beaks and some other stuff...

Experimental crap that he chose to try, not the Flyers... I remember very clearly him saying so in a french interview on RDS.

I wasn't aware that had caused him problems though, he seemed to say it was working very well at time.

The good news is I'm sure he'll show up on 24/7 a lot. Mike Green was on the show quite a bit despite being boring and injured half the time.

If it was an injection to the knee then there had to be some soft tissue damage.

Most likely PRP or some sclerosing agent.
