agree... and this is the reason why I don't think what Marotte said is something that requires high knowledge or something like this. We all know this but when something evens out over 80 games, I don't think it's that big of a deal

I wasn't even referring to statistics at all. I was referring to how the key play in a sequence is sometimes several instances away from the actual goal scored and many times that play is away from the puck.

Playing well without the puck is many times a difficult concept to teach young players. It is somewhat unnatural.

It's what hockey sense is. Some players you could blindfold, drop into the middle of a game, and within seconds they'd know what was going on and what sort of role they're expected to perform.

While what you say is true, I'm not really referring to a role either. It's more a sense of their ability to read and react or even anticipate, read and react.
