Happy to hear it. Good for both of you, if you actually enjoy it .

Congrats to both, excellent upgrade. To be very clear, 2MM is/was a good moderator and that statement has nothing to do with him.

I've noticed you've been posting on here lately, does this mod change mean that you are back from your absence?

What's the scouting report on these guys anyway? Any chance they pan out or just a couple of other flashes in the pan..?

Been posting on the main boards a little, but hadn't posted here. Posting here has everything to do with the mod change.

Let's just leave it at this b/c I'm not trying to hijack the thread. I see three names in blue and they're all fine choices.

Congrats to the new mods.

Fair enough.

Also just to clear up, I didn't realize Walter was no longer a mod. My above post was purely satirical, Walt seems like a good guy. Why he was replaced, I don't know.

STL fan in IA has always been a poster I'd make sure to read, so a great selection in my mind.

Celtic Note, though... Had to look you up to see that you're Zundo. With that being the case, another great choice.

I've been wondering, do posters apply to become mods, or are they approached?

Wow, either I've totally been asleep or I missed the memo that Celtic Note is the new version of Zundo. Either way, congrats to you both!

Also - good to see you posting more regularly again, PocketNines. I haven't been posting long but I've been lurking for quite a while and I remember you. Always good to have another quality contributor around these parts.

The latter.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Now nobody do anything stupid so I don't have to use these new fangled buttons that I now have access to!

Welcome to both of the new mods.

Thanks to Walter Sobchak for his hard work.

I can tell you guys, there is no upside to being a mod, other than helping to ensure that our team's board doesn't descend into chaos too often.

I moderate in two other places that shall remain nameless, and I can agree with this completely. It takes a lot of time and patience to moderate well, and this place does it much better than most.

Thanks for the all the kind words. Hopefully I won't have to do too much around here to keep the peace.

P.S. Yes, I did make the change from Zundo.

Yep...I've been part of rule enforcement for a few online games as well as some forum moderation in the past (at other locations). It's not the 'glorious status' that so many people think it is.

Anyway, congrats to Celtic Note and STL fan in IA! Good luck with your new duties.

Fat chance! I tend to get testy and subsequently smacked down. You'll see.

Iowa is a real "pro" in terms of evaluating young talent. 2MM has always been the super even-keel Mod. Wallie has been a whole different kind of Mod, but both were upgrades to the past Mods of IB and P_B, who were good, although burned out. Celtic, aka Zundo, is a rather upbeat kind of member.

RE: PocketNines

He comes around once in a while to bust out a lengthy analysis on something. Excellent writing skills.

I love the scouting reports. I got a kick out of Atlanta's fan dispersion draft and their comprehensive scouting reports.

Congrats to the new mods....

sort of, I was a mod of a soccer board a couple years back, not nearly as fun as people make it out to be.
