DNFlyers Frank Seravalli
Looks like Brayden Schenn will be scratched tonight and Harry Zolnierczyk will remain in the lineup.

Perhaps he was late to practice the other day?

#Flyers say "nothing serious" with Schenn's injury and they are "hopeful" he can play Thurs. vs. Pens.

Translation: See you in a couple months.

Schenn has an upper body injury, per Holmgren.

To clarify #Flyers said yesterday Schenn was healthy, but he apparently still has foot problem. They said they are "hopeful" he plays Thurs.

Frank Seravalli
Paul Holmgren says Schenn is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

An upper-body foot injury. Interesting.

I thought (silly me) he did not play because of East/West cost time difference. I've read it somewhere.

I would start Bryzgalov today and tomorrow. Days off do not seem to help him.

OT:

Does anybody know where I can listen to calls of Tim Saunders?

My dad (long-time Flyers fan) wants to hear his call of Giroux's OT winner against Anaheim.

Could it be the flu? They might want him getting another day's rest? *shrug* It could be both upper and lower...

Nope, nothing on the website.

Schenn must be the latest Killer Virus victim.

Can't happen. Gerbe took a skate blade to the face on Friday from Gaustad. He's lucky it wasn't worse. He'll be wearing a full shield tonight.

Gerbe would probably be game if he were not wearing a cage to cover the million stitches he got from a gash from his upper lip to his nostrils courtesy of Guastads skate. Too many stitches to count.

Those bolded all young, unseasoned rookies. The one thing they do add is size and toughness (other than Gragnani). Finley is 6'8", McNabb is 6'4", Kassian 6'3". All three are physical and Finley and Kassian more than willing to go.

I think that it is going to be an easy Flyers win, just too many rookies in the line up.

it would be interesting to have Finley (first round pick of Caps with injury history) make it to the bigs and the Sabres woudl have two 6'8" dmen.

Good luck tonight. No more injuries PLEASE.

I love Schenn but he's turning into another Briere/Forsberg/etc. type player. Plays a few games, looks decent then is injured. The thing that worries me the most is the type of injuries he's having are the same things that caused him issues in juniors. It's troubling.

i know this wont be popular, but i feel like we should trade Schenn for a strong D pickup..

he gives me the distinct feeling he will be the next Lindros, ala always injured..

is he made of glass or just extremly unlucky ? i dont know but right now this team is really clicking most nite on O so i say use schenn's trade power for some D, which we DEF. need.

Just to clarify, it's really more of an upper-body foot VIRUS... not injury.

Don't worry though, he'll return tomorrow
