Who cares what Brodeur said? We all know that Lundqvist is awesome; and, besides, regardless of whether it's bias or not, Marty can say whatever the hell he wants about the caliber of other players given what he's done in this league. Let him babble on about whatever he wants.

I don't think it's a big deal at all, but it's always fun to discuss what Marty said. He has a clear hate for the Rangers.

Dr.Sutton posted a fun little anecdote and devils fans flipped out to defend marty. There was no need for them to get so amped up about something that was just fun for our board.

For the record.

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=1049161

So far 16 out of 16 say Lundqvist. So that kind of kills that although we can wait for more results to come in if you'd prefer.

B-b-b-but he's so big and skilled!

2 assists and 6 shots on goal in 17 games will do that to a player.

he hasn't been terrible this year. nobody ever said that. he hasn't been as good as he was in past years, but that is expected considering he is close to 40 years old.
my apologies Devils fans have said Fatso's stats are bad because of the terrible defense

There is a whole thread on the main board about how Marty's bad stats are because of the D.

Not going to read the rest of the thread, but this so much.

Ever since Hank broke into the league Debs fans have been OBSESSED with him.

devils fans are just jealous that they dont have much future in net. their backup is also old .. they should have drafted a goalie a few years ago.

Kinkaid is going to be a solid goaltender and everyone except for Jon and myself is going to be surprised.

Can someone explain to me whats up with Nashville lately? That team has been so mediocre this year. I thought they'd build on their success.

I know Hornquvist isn't scoring and Rinne has been inconsistent but does it go beyond that? They still have Suter and Webber for crying out loud. They're killing me in my fantasy league.

They actually have. There is a trio of decent goalie prospects in the minors.

Not saying any are surefire bets, but there cupboard is hardly bare.

This thread is the exact reason why I keep saying I want the Isles to stay and I wish the Devils would pack up and ****ing move to Quebec. I'm not sure I enjoy another team's/fans misery as much as those clowns.

So what if Marty were to say Lundqvist is the best goalie in the league? It's not like you guys would give him props for saying that. You guys would still find a way to criticize him somehow.

On our board Lundqvist will always be the Queen with oversized pads, and over here Marty will always be Fatso. Let's face it, you guys are obsessed with the Devils as much as we are obsessed with the Rangers. Otherwise you wouldn't be so up in arms about Marty's comments.

What's funny is that his pads aren't oversized. Yea cuz the NHL would permit him to wear illegal pads. Makes so much sense. Another retarded excuse for why he isn't amazing. He's got oversized pads...

How good would this team be if we had bought out Wolski and used the space to sign Jagr? To watch him play in Philly is painful, and he is still clearly very good.

I'm sorry you took that literally. But have you heard of a term called "tongue in cheek"? We don't actually think he wears oversized pads.

I have no idea as to why either fanbase thinks either of these are witty in any way.

Do Rangers fans go to the Devils board though? Whenever something happens to the Debs and we talk about it, it always seems a Devils fan comes to defend his team.

Didn't he also have good chemistry with Dubinsky?

This.
Oh HAR HAR, You used the opposite word of "King" to try to make fun of him. You are SOOOO clever. It's so funny, all of us forgot to laugh.

and before any of them bring up the "fatso" jokes, I'd like to point out we were not the ones to make that up, It was avery and he had every right to say it after brodeur was being a whiny little ***** after they got demolished in the playoffs and wouldn't shake avery's hand.

Gotta love the main board, people loling at Markov being out again, and Montreal fans getting mad at everyone for loling
