I can live with Nokelainen on the 4th. But Darche ? He brings nothing !!! Can't score, can't hit, can't fight, can't change the momentum of the game. Please bring an energy player like Schultz, Conboy or Dumont from Hamilton. Or take someone on the waivers. Deveaux and Leblond can take a shift, skate, fight and hit.

I prefer Barch to Drache for sure, but he is a not a great player either. Maybe as 13th forward but not in the line-up every game.

Darche brings reliability, the coach knows he can trust him out there to not lose the game. I recall when we had Chipchura Lararque and I forget the other on the 4th line and they were like -7 after 20 games a couple years back.

He's definitely having a crappy year, last 2 combined he was 88 GP 17-19-36 which is pretty amazing for an average of 10 minutes a night. I think his biggest problem is that he needs the odd night off because he isn't a great skater and if his legs and energy level are not high he is a half step behind. His ideal role is 60 games a year splitting time with White and Nokelainen as #11-12 forward.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he is the first netminder in NHL history to record an NHL loss before allowing an NHL goal. Murphy made two saves on two shots in about nine minutes of ice time, but he became the goalie of record when Jarome Iginla's empty net goal became the game winner after the Hurricanes netted a pair of tallies in the final minute of regulation. That's a pretty bizarre stat line for the 23-year-old keeper and one that he probably will never forget.

Was going to the Bell Center, changed his mind and wanted to catch a movie instead, had Cinema Banque Scotia in mind, but somehow ended at Scotia Bank Place.

Bobby Mac said the Canes might look to move Staal...hmmm.

Would you guys trade Plekanec + for Staal?

Love Plekanec but in a heartbeat (obviously depending on whether the '+' isn't ridiculous).

Plekanec probably gets you better value for money. Staal's contract is 8+million. Not that getting Staal wouldn't be a great addition though.

Plekanec + Kostitsyn + Tinordi would be the starting asking price methinks.

Imagine that was a pic from when we were playing Ottawa. If you read the boards, it wouldn't surprise you.

Why would they want a UFA in Kost? Replace Kost with Pacioretty.

Remove AK and it makes more sense. Even then, it's an over payment imo.

Plek is top five, maybe even 3, two way center in the NHL. Remember when we kept saying that Koivu would be so much better on the 2nd line? Well, imagine having Plek on our 2nd line much like Kesler in Vancouver. I believe his point totals would increase a lot.
I think him with a draft pick or prospect should suffice, but I would try to keep him as this would give us a very serious one-two punch down the middle.
Staal has a big contract, so Gomez would have to be on his way out. I would throw in a bunch of picks and prospects, hoping they would be looking for young rebuilding pieces.

For sure and you don't even think twice about it, problem it's not the type of deals the Habs make

I'd trade Plekanec + Leblanc + Weber + 2013 1st round pick.

It would be nice to finally couple Plekanec with a real PPG centreman so he finally gets room to breathe out there, but I'd take Staal over Plekanec.

Muller was all smiles during his post game interview, great to see his team finally win one for him.

Point per game centers are pretty hard to come by, last year...Stamkos, Sedin, Zetterberg, Richards and Getzlaf plus Crosby who played 41 games.
