Unless he was later run over by the Zamboni and both legs cut off I would expect Marty to play. Even if that did happen he would probably just staple them back on, but only single shifted.

Bring up and play Ashton and put Oberg in. This team needs new faces.

SunSports likes to jump to conclusions. It's easier than doing the footwork.

Maybe not Oberg, as he's still very new to the team's system. I don't think they really called him up to perform so much as to evaluate him.

St. Louis, who has played 499 consecutive games, was bleeding as he was helped from the ice by a trainer. St. Louis was circling behind the net during a drill when teammate Dominic Moore backhanded a shot high and wide and hit St. Louis.

Yep hes out for tonight.
Things just keep getting better and better. I expect nothing less than a blowout romping of us tonight after this crap.

If everyone on the team buys Marty a visor for Christmas, would he wear one of them?
What time is it? 1pm? I'm going back to bed.

Maybe they'll surprise us and actually not look like crap tonight.
Would you want to not give your best effort after Boucher has had an eyeball popping episode at practice?

"He has been playing extremely well," Yzerman said. "He's been playing phenomenally. We'll assume he won't be able to play tonight. It's a difficult loss for the team, but it's an opportunity for other guys to step up."
We're assuming right now, but if we know Marty, he'll play with 1 eye if he has to.

Christ, this team couldn't buy a break right now.
Reading those Boucher quotes and Marty could be out tonight.. I just.. WTF is wrong with this team? Starting to take laziness to a whole new level here. I don't mind when a team sucks but they're still out there battling, but when a team sucks and isn't putting in the effort? **** off.

So just to make sure I've got it straight, probably no Marty and definitely no Thompson for tonight? Ugh. This would be a great time for the Rangers to give the Lightning their payoff for last game of the season.
(oops, also no Kubina...so things aren't completely off the rails)

You know it's going bad when we take some solace in the fact that we don't have to worry about Kubina for another game.
