Hainsey to Columbus, Gamache to St Louis. Yakubov, Thibault, Huselius available. San Jose should claim them all.

T-bo specifically...I hope Doug is strongly considering moving Nabokov.

Thibault is TERRIBLE. If the Pens are waiving him, don't touch him. Pens have worse goalkeeping that we do.

Frankly, DW couldn't get a damn thing for Nabby now.

Pens defense is terrible so don't judge him by his numbers this year (the few games I've seen this year, he has definitely looked better than Nabby). Its only natural they want to get Fleury some experience and no small market team is going to pay $1.5 or so million for a backup.

good freaking greif there is a lot of posters that throw nabby under the bus, think no GM in the league would want a Career save%.913

Q) what do the numbers 17g 10W 1.71 GAA and .935 sv% mean.

A) doesn't matter cause this season he blows, trade him............

Q) what is 5W 14L 3.25GAA .879Sv%
A) Miikka Kipprusoff's 02-03 stats he put up for the sharks, when the Org counted on him to save their season.....

Has nothing to do with his numbers. Except for the $3.3 million price tag. That's why he can't be dealt....unless it's for another (currently) overpaid guy.

One quarter of which is already paid. Nabby is a UFA at the end of the season, so if the Sharks wait until the deadline or wait until after Jan 1 (when teams can negotiate a long term deal), then we should get a pretty good return for him. His past play speaks for itself. He's not old. He didn't forget how to play hockey during the lockout. He's having a bad year combined with the team playing crappy.

Why would someone deal for someone having a bad year, knowing he's a UFA after the year, and be expected to give up anything of value? If they want Nabby, wait until after the season when he's available?

Because they know he has talent and with a change of scene and in front of a better team, can produce better results. If they wait until after Jan 1, the team can make the trade contingent upon signing a long term contract. That way they get him this year to help in the playoffs and don't have to overpay in the offseason UFA bidding.

I see your point and I'm not saying Nabby's value hasn't dropped this season, but I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be.

I have seen T-Bo in his good years in Chicago, and he's a completely different goalie this year.

I wouldn't take him.

Huselius...Why not?

yeah, he's damn good looking player just dangling there...but will we get him? I wouldn't bet on it because remember DW likes to build from within

yah they'd have to send down Stevenson and that would send him a bad message

but seriously, if they pick up Huselius, who would you send down or waive?

None of the guys on wavers are going to make us a better team, GMs are performing a little salary reduction for under performing players. Our GM DW tends to be more respectful to players that are playing bad and would not waiver to reduce salary or send a message - although there are several players that are not playing to their salary.

Teams are likely to grab them upon re-entry waivers. Half the price. Its what I expected.

i'm surprised he got even that much in return. florida seemed to have completely given up on him. it's too bad, i think we would have been a good pickup for the sharks at half price on reentry waivers. he couldnt possibly have been worse than ekman or dimitrakos. heck, he could have 30 goals playing with thornton, or 40 assists playing with marleau.
