Besides stat wise, how is Higgins this year? For me Higgins performance always relied on his confidence.

There's an appreciation thread for him on the Canuck board. He's been our most consistently hard working player thus far this season, IMO. Both him and Lapierre came out of the gate playing as if it was still the playoffs, and that was an absolute necessity given how badly the rest of the team sleep walked at some points in October. I thought it would be a bit of a flash in the pan both statistically and in terms of his work ethic, but he's sustained it to this point. Great season so far, and we were really choked when we heard he got a foot infection and we're crossing our fingers he'll be back ASAP.

Dammit. Not St-Denis again I can't believe this guy have played 8 games for us this season. And it's an insult to Weber !

Keeping Leblanc up to play on the 4th line is ****ing stupid.

St-Denis has done more than most people expected. He plays a smart, solid game with very few mistakes. Get used to seeing him.

I think he's played well. The team will be better off with him than with how Weber has played lately. Although I'd very much love to get Gill out of there too.

Almost sure that St-Denis will be send back to Hamilton after the game.

A must win (we need the 2 points) or a must lose (the "fire JM train" is rolling into the station)?

Ah the habs.... My new 2nd favorite team get to the playOffs and beat Boston please . I like you guys now!

Higgins has been terrific for us. He slowed down in the playoffs after he broke his foot. Lappy has also been amazing . Both fan favorites now.

Hard work was never Higgins weak point, it's that Montreal needed him to be a first line player and he just didn't have the offensive talent to do it. We could usually count on him to hit 2-3 posts per game.

I can see that being an issue. He's got the hands to be a second-liner at best, a tweener at worst. I think during the Playoff run he had about three or four breakaways that he failed to convert on, so it was definitely frustrating. He gets so many chances. But thus far this year, he's been burying them. On pace for 20+ goals and 50+ points, which is pretty good bang for buck at $1.9m.

Although really, I would have even been happy with 15-15-30 production from him, so this is just a pleasant surprise.

25/25 guy was his career high so he's likely playing his best hockey right now. Glad he's found his game again.

It's great to hear this! Higgins was my favorite player during his time with the Habs; my username was "Higgins 21" until the day he was traded. Still love the guy, glad he's doing so well!

I really hope you guys can destroy Boston in the playoffs. Any team that is a rival with Boston is good in my books.
Hoping for a good game tonight win or lose.

Going to the game tonight! Not too optimistic but I still hope we get a good hockey game.

Hopefully AK pots 1 or 2! He scored in both games I went to last year.

I would put a lot of money against that happening.
