Download shazam. Click on it when you want to know the name/artist of a song and it will listen and tell you the info for it. Gamecenter is the glitchiest POS app on the iPhone.

So I'm in deep sleep the other day, when I get jarred awake by this idiot with a power saw at about 7 am. I leap out of bed and grab the phone to call the cops. I only wish I knew what happened when they showed up at his door.

Weird. I always thought most noise ordnances allowed for loud noises like that after 7AM. Did you get a fine or anything? Where do you live?

What the heck, if someone wakes me up at 7:20 AM on a week day that means I'm late. Then again it's, philly, so why would anyone be doing something constructive that early. You can walk around the worst neighborhoods in the city before 11 on cold days and be safe as a daisy.

What a jackass. Was it really worth calling the cops to gain an extra 40ish minutes of sleep/peace?

I was gonna say, maybe he works at night. I know when I've done that, I haven't had any problems with outside noises in the morning once I've fallen asleep, but if they start too early it makes it hard to fall asleep. Apparently he's just an old geezer though.

Consol had the best crowd (even sang the Canadian anthem ) and was the best venue. The only arena I like more is the Bell Centre (of the places I've been). I really enjoyed my time in Pittsburgh. Nice people and some cool landmarks.

The United Center was the only disappointing venue. It was built in a time just after the old fan-centric era and just before the 'there are no bad seats in the house' corporate era. There are some poor views there and their standing room sucks.

Chicago wins the award for most friendly homeless population, though.

Okay so I get home after my class this morning and turn my tv on... There is a show on about people using psychics and metal detectors to discover a alien portal into our world???? The psychics are telling them where the portal will be and they go and search using metal detectors. Is the real life? People believe this kinda stuff hahaha Just found the show fascinating haha

Another shooting at Virginia Tech. Bad memories. I'm listening to this one on a scanner.

On Tuesday, Montrealers commemorated the killing of 14 young women at what's called the Polytechnique (engineering college) by a misogynist with a hunting rifle 22 years ago. Definitely bad memories. I know a few people in the building that day.

It would seem I go through the greatest growth of post counts after Pens games.

Strangely, they run hand in hand with infractions. Coincidence?

Fortunately, the guy who shot the cop at VT instantly realized that he had made his life forfeit and acted appropriately after thinking hard for a quarter mile.

Thanks to my job I was able to listen to the police scanners for this incident; those guys really had their hands full. The description handed out of "guy wearing sweatpants and sweatshirt" meant that pretty much everybody on earth was getting reported as a suspect. The cops were pulling in everyone in sight matching that description. My favorite: "report of suspect matching description, male with limp and maroon VT hoody. Last seen entering Bed Bath and Beyond."

Now...I'm no CSI super-genius detective; but I'm pretty doubtful that a guy who just murdered a police officer very publicly in just about the worst place possible in the Commonwealth of Virginia would decide that replenishing his fancy soap supply would be of paramount importance.
