I'll be livid if we trade Amar'e.

Take the guy who willingly signed with the Knicks, and then have guys like Melo and CP3 who jumped on the bandwagon lead the team?

No way. I trade Melo 10 times out of 10 before I trade Amar'e. Amar'e is the new leader of this team and the new face of the Knicks.

Gotta agree, I really don't wanna dog Amar'e like that.

Rumor now is Paul going to Lakers in a 3 team deal.

Maybe the Knicks knew something. Hence the Chandler signing.

Exactly. Normally i'd be fine doing whatever it takes to improve the team, but Amar'e willingly signed here when the organization was in shambles, and guys like CP and Melo only jumped aboard because Amar'e made the team respectable.

If this team wins a championship, I want it to be because of Amar'e.

I don't think we have to worry because it looks like Billups amnesty buyout and sign Chandler...

Douglas
Fields
Melo
STAT
Chandler

After this season it'll be:

D. Williams
Fields
Melo
Stat
Chandler

You don't think Deron isn't signing until Paul is either a Knick, Laker or a FA? That has to be the main reason in my opinion.

Yeah but the part your missing is that if we sign Chandler, there's a possibility of a Amare trade to new orleans for Paul. I have to admit I would much rather have Paul on this team then Amare but I don't want the knicks to dog Amare like that, he is the reason were a respectable team again, but for the people who say they would rather trade Melo, don't forget Amares knee problems, they are not gonna hold up much longer

That'd be a bush league move to do that to Amar'e.

Not a fan at all. CP3 can go to the Lakers.

100% agree. Amare wanted to come here with no pieces put in place.

Knicks will NOT be trading Stat.

Can tell you that right now. That was some stupid rumor mongering. Stat is going to be sick with Chandler.

I don't think you need to worry too much about the Knicks winning a championship. Players like Carmelo Anthony don't win championships.

Is it fair to say he's like the Kovalchuk of basketball?

I could play PG with that back court.

In all honesty I love amare and wouldnt want them to trade him, but if they did I wouldnt be devestated.

I think we gotta see how TD and Fields do at the guards with guard duties.

Anyone hear anything about shawne williams.

Uh, have you seen the teams Iverson played on during his prime in Philly? Outside of him, everybody else was complete garbage. Him and Larry Brown single handedly lead that team to the finals and multiple other playoff appearances. Yeah, I get it, he had a bad attitude. But the fact that he never won could be attributed to the awful teams he played on in his prime.

Grant Hill, too? That would be tremendous. Tremendous veteran player with high basketball-IQ. Hahn thinks he is using us to leverage, but I think he is headed to NY based on other places.

Love the Chandler move. He was phenomenal last year and during that playoff run. I didn't and don't understand the Amar'e talk. They are not like for like. Chandler is a 5. Stoudemire is a 4. This gives Stoudemire the ability to guard power forwards which should help keep him healthy. Billups, we hardly knew ye, but you were walking after this year anyway.

I do NOT want Baron Davis though.

not a big basketball fan but may get interested if Chris Paul goes to the Knicks too

rumor is Chandler from Dallas for Billups and Turriaf. Does that clear cap space?

good or bad deal in Knicks fans eyes?

Chandler for Billups and Turiaf is obviously an amazing deal.

And surf, I meant to write front court. Melo/Stat/Chandler would be an amazing front court.

If they do sign Grant Hill for their MLE, that would be great as well.

The problem becomes, who guards the likes of Wade/Rose when they inevitably meet in the playoffs.
