I feel quite confident that he meant to do it. But whatever. Move on.

Same here. Until Dale Hunter gets the Caps to win with 2 SOG he will not be my savior. Tebow is the man who performed the 2 completions miracle.

Literally the posts read like they did under Hanlon. "Well, look how good they look in the losses." They don't even look that good.

The crowd that wanted Bruce gone certainly got their wish, but it hasn't provided any fruit yet, and pretending it has is frankly silly.
Perhaps you did not catch our horrible stretch where we were getting clobbered on the scoreboard AND territorially AND in terms of scoring chances. Perhaps you missed how in 4 years we couldn't get past the 2nd round or any team not named the Rangers. Perhaps you missed getting SWEPT by TB in the playoffs, SWEPT.

You seem firmly stuck on the W-L record of Bruce, while others (even when he was winning) saw characteristics of his team and system that would ultimately fail. The fact that the team now is becoming more proficient at forechecking and maintaining some semblance of puck possession in the offensive zone is promising, whether you want to see it or not.

This seems a little heavy handed. Especially after this.

And he's already admitted that he can see the improvement from the end of Bruce's tenure up until this point. Being wary of jumping on the 'Dale is the truth' train isn't anything to be ridiculed for. It's a perfectly reasonable stance.

It's not like he's wishing that the team fails under Hunter or something.

All these years we've been spoon fed "its the players" from the management team. And if that was the case, I'd "fear" BB couldn't correct issues that continued while 4-0. And he couldn't. Never really could given the situation in which he started. But he made himself and the team relevant. The management took forever in my mind to do what's best for the team.

For the rest of the post... I can understand where you are coming from. I personally like what I'm HEARING more than I'm SEEING. Never really like a majority of either from BB/GMGM prior to this offseason. Still a long way to go.
You may not have wanted them to lose...but a handful of these so called Caps fans here did. Pretty pathetic.

The hypocrisy around here has been entertaining to say the least.

Look no further than McPhee if there's a problem with management. Over a decade of failure and only lucking in Ovechkin has prevented him from being fired long ago.

It was time to make a change, and I hope Hunter has great success, but I'll believe it's really possible to make it far in the playoffs when this team starts beating quality opponents again with regularity. As in...living up to their talent.

Wishing your team will lose....is like booing your own team IMO. Dick move.

Let's see how they do tomorrow night. They SHOULD be supremely motivated to beat the Leafs tomorrow after the ass kicking they got last game.

It will be telling either way. Hopefully we see a dominant Caps team take the ice again.

I don't have to email Ted. I can walk up and talk to him if I want. Next?

I feel fairly confident if you said you were rooting for the team to lose to Ted or any player....they would look at you with disgust.

Better than guaranteed long term losses.

Also when ted gutted the team do you think he was trying to win? You think he was doing everything in his power to win right there and then?

The team was already losing....so they rebuilt the team from the floor up because they were barely a playoff team, a team with an aging identity and the fans didn't support it.

Shouldn't be that hard to figure out.

Do you even know what a rebuild is?

So he took a fringe playoff team and made it a lottery team. Clearly he was trying to win right there and then. amirite?

Also it wasnt like the caps were winning when Bruce was fired.

Shouldnt be that hard to figure out.

Well next time you see Ted walk up to him and demand he sell the team to a real fan. Theres no ifs ands or buts about it, at one point of time he wanted the team to lose.

Or you could just get off your fandom high horse.

Either/Or.

I still look to the Jan. 3rd game against Calgary as the point where DFH has had enough time to mold the Caps in his image, but the Philly game coming up will be a nice gauge on how DFH is doing to this point. Really looking forward to that game.

lets see if they can play two in a row.
Why does it make you uncomfortable? Is it because you don't like the 1-2-2?
