Yeah, putting Dubi on the 4th line with Avery and Prust is "doing everything he can for [him]".

Dubinsky had a great defensive game and got an assist on the SHG.

Karma is not real. It might have motivated Garon to go into God Mode though.

Does anyone else realize that we have been in four shootouts and have not registered a goal in THREE of them! We went from an upper echelon shootout team to one of the worst in the NHL. No support for Henrik in the shootout.

And McDonagh was brutal tonight. Worst game of the season.

Not a lot of positives to pull from this game, in my opinion, to view from the Rangers perspective. Outside of getting a point, this is the second bad game in a row.

Mitchell : no shot (that wasnt a shot, it bounced off the ice)
Richards : Post
Gaborik : Puck would have hit the outside of the net.

I blame all the awful shooutout attempts on Hank.

The fact of the matter is Staal is better than McDonagh defensively. Simple as that. I don't know how anybody could argue otherwise- McDonagh just isn't on his level yet. This game is just the catalyst for me to say it- i've been arguing it all season.

This team needs to convert when they badly outplay a team.

You dominate the 1st, you have to get more than 1 goal.
You dominate O/T, you have to get a goal.

Eminger would've been our best d-man if Girardi didnt play another 30 mins. I thought he had a better game.

Richards has yet to score in the shootout for us this year. This is a problem. Gaborik needs to start shooting the god damn puck again. He is getting too cocky deking. He had Garon's five-hole open the whole time on the shootout and didn't release it.

The Rangers played well over their heads for 12 of 14 games and now are showing their true colors. Losing to this garbage team without their second best player after leading it with less than 2 minutes to go. Shows you everything you need to know about this team. The ****ing Islanders beat them 5-1. This is far worse of loss than the Leafs loss and that one was bad. The Rangers are a mediocre bubble team again. They're as much of a contender as your local beer league team.

Even if they won this game 2-1, the way they played it would have been apparent what this team's true colors were, but now it's even more apparent.

All the elements of a classic Rangers loss:

Fail to put an opponent away after countless chances to do so.

Allow a late goal...

....by a former Ranger. They should have won this game and they let it slip away.

What softy?

Second goal was deflected off of McDonagh's stick, as the replay clearly showed.

First goal was a giveaway, by McDonagh, right into the slot.

The last goal was a shootout goal, nice shot by Moore, and once again we can't give Henrik one goal in the shootout (for the THIRD time this season).

Pathetic 3rd period, especially the PP. I blame this one solely on Torts, has the team playing safe just dumping the puck on 2 PP's late in the 3rd instead of trying to score.

Gaborik and Mitchell on the shootout? Are you kidding me? Not the Captain and not Anisimov. Mitchell is AHL fodder and Gaborik is terrible in the shootout, sometimes I just wonder how far Torts head is up his own ass.

last year we didn't blow a lead in the 3rd all season, now we have blown 2 already.

BTW I hate dom Moore, he kills us everytime and Joe had to say Tampa didn't score a shortie all year, we knew that was coming.

McDonagh had a stinker, but it's tough to get on him when he's been expert all year.

Torts needs to play Avery more late in games, he maybe a liability in the defensive zone but he's one of the best on this team at keeping possession in the offensive zone...2 shifts in the third period and a grand total of 4:13 on ice.

It happens, gotta seal those games, but it happens.

Hopefully they come out with a vengeance on Saturday because I will be in attendance

If you mean the goal by Moore, didn't that go off McDonagh's stick? Not sure myself, heard Rosen say that I think.

Awful goal to see, totally deflating. But, I really think this game was two teams playing pretty badly.

Can't wait for Wolski to come back...
It will give us:
a) a shootout weapon
b) get Boyle off the PP

The only thing worse than this game is it brings out people like you.

3 or 4 people quoted this and no one realized that Christensen didn't even play?

Is Stepan ineligible for shootouts? He's by far the best option on the team.
