Ok Hfboards, time to start taking up some donations. We gotta buy up that 18%!

If we get 33% do we get to pick one of the three shooters in the SO?

Really getting sick of Shoot outs. I'm being reactionary, but nonetheless, I've always disliked the SO; Has absolutely NOTHING to do with the game. God damn marketing ploy is killing us. Argh.

So Spacek and Campoli in real soon. Out St-Denis and Diaz. While it will most definately be an upgrade over Fred, people might find that Diaz was not THAT bad after all. Especially the ones who think that Campoli is some kind of saviour. Same guy who had no freakin job September 24th.....
I don't understand this logic..
Campoli might not be the greatest, but he is better than St-Denis and there's no doubt about it. He's better than Hal Gill too.
MAB, Souray, Tanguay, were all unsigned for a very long time too. We signed Halpern late last year as well. There are plenty of players that are signed late that can contribute to a team.
It's a trickled down effect as well, having a guy like Campoli that could be used upwards of 20min if needed, as opposed to 11 like St-Denis, means less pressure on PK, which essentially means he can breathe a little more, making him more efficient.
As bad as you want to say Campoli is, it's not a downgrade, and it's not a lateral move, it's an improvement, no matter how small.

I'm at a point where I'm completely numb to what's happening to the team. It's like I'm used to seeing shootout losses and constant fumbling when leading the game by more than two goals. It's best not to think about it at this point, honestly

And Molson has no balls to fire either JM or Goats (I'd like to see them both sip a cup of GTFO, at this point)

I guess that explains why everyone's BellTV bill will be going up $3 a month starting in Jan.. They need to recover some of the cost of buying the Leafs and upping their customers rates seems like the logical thing to do I guess.

We're all getting fed up!

Well I have alot to say about this game and how the team is going, but most of it has already been said repeatedly by long suffering fans like myself.
Fact is this team does not look happy, and hasn't for quite some time. For years we have had a team full of small, skilled guys who play soft. For this I blame Bob Gainey and Pierre Gauthier and the rest of the clown like management. This is definetly not the type of team that should try to play a boring shut down style. Fans in Montreal have witnessed some of the finest hockey ever played, they are pleading for an exciting, team. In my opinion this will not happen under Martin. This guy is a dinosaur and a LOSER with a capital L. Remember his days in Ottawa when the more talented Senators were getting bounced in the playoffs by the tougher, grittier Maple Leafs?
I dislike every aspect of his coaching style, no enthusiasm, extremely poor use and development of his players, horrid power play....he has got to go NOW!!!!!!
One power play goal and they could have won, but no instead they give up a shorty!?
I am beyond frustrated...I can't wait to watch a team worthy to wear the great sweater of this franchise..one that I can actually be proud of again!!!!!

As at somebody said before in this thread, if you can't score on PP don't give a goal in this situation. How pathetic it is now?

When they have PP opportunities i'm most worried if the squad on the ice will protect the back ends then scoring a goal, from the begining of the season. It was a perfect perfomance from this team just before that goal. I quit watching after that, i knew they will failed apart and they do it again.

I don't know what to think right now. Some veterans on this team are not producing at rate we expect. Is this coaching a problem or players ?

The point is THE focus this season. Its all about the point. Get the puck to the right point, pass it to the left point and shoot. Repeat again with the puck to the right point that is passed to the left point and then shoot.

The Habs WERE a creative team last year with our D Men skating in from the point on the weak side and then either shooting or passing the puck to a forward advancing on net. In either case, the goalie was forced to move from side to side.

Almost all of our shots on goal on the PP is where the goalie is squared up to the shooter and is able to easily make the save.

Nothing changes this season, including the inability to score.

The only real threat that we are missing on the PP from last year is Kirk Muller. Imagine that.........
But that's EXACTLY what i'm talking about!!! lol

There's NO PP QB...what you're mentionning there is exactly what a PP QB does...they walk the line to create shooting lanes, they freeze the goalie by making them think shot but then passing to an open teamate, they block clearout attempts, they sneak in from the point backdoor, etc...

Thansk for proving my point

im not so sure on that-campoli isnt so good defensivly- By the way habs got 2 goals from there young D- i dont think campoli would have made a diff tonight- i thought the d crew
did a pretty good job against a very good O- this young D excuse is phony- have to point the finger soemwhere - easy to point it at the young players-

More like they barely even hit the net. I think only Desharnais actually hit Luongo.
