For DL to fire TM that would mean DL conceding that he failed at choosing a coach AGAIN.
that is what's probably delaying the firing.

Just think, when the Kings get their goals against down to 1 per game, they will be unstoppable.

Sitting on the deck of his lake House Sipping Pina Colada's. Why on earth would he want to come here, and Coach a Dean Lombardi team?

Randy "So Dean If I take this job, I don't want a D first system" "That old School flyer crap doesn't work in the new NHL"

Dean "Thanks for taking the Call Randy" "click"

Dean "Hmm so John you up for the job" ?

Typical TM interview - the attitude was "Gosh, I told them to come out and concentrate, but they just don't do it" with the body language that said "Hey, it's not my fault - I TOLD them ..."

It was decent at the time. Murray did teach them defense. The whole thing about prospects is hogwash in my opinion. I think he is a ****** teacher and hurts the confidence and development of our prospects, but he did get the team to play solid defensively at the end of the day, but he is a one trick pony. He can't motivate the team, can't get results from either individuals or the team as a whole, and he is terribly outcoached day in and day out. I could probably count how many timeouts he has used with my hands and toes over the years he has been our coach... It's over. It is Dean's job to realize that. I think he has slack with AEG, they know he has done a good job drafting and putting this team together, now he needs to rectify the problems with the staff.

Fire all coaches and put Hextall and Robitaille behind the bench for next game. Goals and fights galore

Yup.

I haven't spent the last 8 years on season seats to watch the fruition of "the plan" be a sorry team that can barely eek out 2 goals, if their lucky. Everything has gone fine with the rebuild up until this year. The appalling lack of offense with the cast of players we have is totally unacceptable, and Lombardi needs to realize it.

The Los Angeles Kings: embarrassing themselves and their fans since 1967.

Where is that depth we were supposed to have? Dean and Terry are failures at this point. The Wild did in 1 year what we have taken 6 years to fail at.

I'm not sure how that goof Bernstein could say that TM's job is safe. When you lose like this and you have expectations to win the cup, you got to start wondering whether or not heads are going to roll.

DL can be the greatest drafter in NHL history, a master trader, fantastic scouting staff, etc...

None of it means squat if the NHL team sucks after 5+ years - if the team can't put up results, the GM hasn't done his job and needs to go.

I personally haven't seen Lombardi say anything bad about Murray, ever, so it has to be said...

Well, what if it was the case? How scary is that?

Look like "attitude" is the new excuse.

What does that even mean? Shouldn't the attitude of the team come from the leadership group? That stars with the coaches.
