I think we'll dress 7 d-men until Gomez and/or Gio are back. Schedule is easier than the last 3-4 weeks.

I doubt that. He was basically in game shape when they did the arthroscopy. He'll probably need to stay quiet for 7-10 days, doubt it takes him a month to get back in shape after 7-10 days off.

It would be better to have a line of three energetic players that can hit and turn the tide of the game with momentum. Like guys like Begin, Kostopoulos, Lapierre (before last year when he was awful) used to do, and hopefully White will be able to do.

White should be back soon, he's been skating for a week or two.

Let's hope so. He'd be a welcome addition back to the team.

But yah, you looked back teh last 2 pages and didn't see anything about Gomez.
Damn, I am trying to read about the injury updates and you keep posting quotes from earlier.

Can you have some decency and leave this thread to injury reports?

Thanks.

Finally some oxygen. Crazy infusion with Kaberle and Campoli. This could be the turning point of the season.

Makes sense with what Martin said today...

Quote:
“The move this morning was to acquire a quarterback for our power play. The player that’s supposed to fill that roll right now is Andrei Markov, but he has yet to play a game this year and with his latest surgery is expected to be out until after the All-Star break,” dropped the Habs head coach on the team’s hopes for their newest player.
Went from 3 weeks to 4-6 and now 8+ in the span of 7 days.

Betcha, that Markov died on the operating table after his second knee operation and Habs management just didn't have the heart to tell the loyal fans. So they hired a look a like to pass for Markov and there really wasn't any three year deal signed over the summer.....oh wait this isn't Hollywood.

You have to wonder what kind of legal actions are taking place behind the scenes. Markov's contract started at 5.75 / year. It's now turning into an 8.6 mil / year contract.

That makes no sense...he had an arthroscopic surgery. Usually guys are back on the ice after 7-10 days so he wouldn't lose much of his conditionning.

Maybe the good doctor forgot the scalpel and they had to go in and get it. Now it will take longer for Markov to recover.

Yes and now PG say Markov has an upper and lower and central body injury.

So with Campoli and Kaberle being added, our PP is getting a huge shot in the arm. What 6 D do we roll with?

Subban, Gorges, Gill, Emelin, Campoli, and Kaberle? how should we divide up the pairings and PP and PK units? also that would give us 5 left handed defenseman!

Gorges-Subban
Emelin-Campoli
Gill-Kaberle

PP
Kaberle-Subban
Campoli-Gorges/Emelin

PK
Gorges-Gill
Emelin-Subban

7th in the league in 5on5 F/A ratio
2nd in the league in PK%
28th in the league in PP%

Do you not realize all of our problems pretty much stem from our horrible PP?

The cumulative effect of Andrei Markov on this roster the last 3 years has become hilarious.

Pretty much. Campoli back&Kaberle means Plekanec goes up front (were he's better) and we get two experienced PP centric players. With PP goals once in a while we should win quite a few more games since many of our losses are close ones.

Kaberle-Subban
Campoli-Weber/Diaz/Emelin

Not too bad...

Either you have a warped sense of reality or you do a poor job of showing sarcasm.
