Well good then, because Kaberle is neither useless nor injured.

I'm sure on the deal... I'm just willing to give him what he never had in boston or carolina... Time.

I'm pretty confident it's a good move

I would go with the following if we ever get healthy. 7 dmen dressed.

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Kaberle - Campoli
Gill

Ex] Diaz

How can it not be? All the elements of the team not working at the moment (Gionta, Cammy, Gomez) will be gone at the same time as Kaberle. Might as well ride the wave. This is a good move.

It wouldn't surprise me, heck we might even see Kaberle-Plekanec, the pass pass pass PP unit. We would just pass from one point to the other for the full two minutes as to not give up short handed goals, thus improving our powerplay in the eyes of Martin.

"We haven't allowed a goal on the PP for over 10 games, I think if you look at the positives of our 3-6-1 record over this time frame this is one of the things that stands out"

Subban-Kaberle.
Campoli-Emelin .

Please.

I like the move, it is a gamble but we never gambled a thing with gainey and we had **** for years. Kaberle hasn't forgotten how to play, you guys don't see how high the upside on this trade could possibly be.

Think about it, trades wake players up and if Kaberle wakes up we just got a top pairing offensive dman for an injured UFA that always sucked! Good gamble in my eyes.

What he did or didn't do in Carolina doesn't make a lick's worth of difference. He's still that player that was 13th in scoring for Dmen last year and 3rd in scoring among dmen in the playoffs last year.

So far as I'm concerned he didn't fit with boston, and Carolina just blows: I don't think Kaberle is a different player than he was just last year.

The biggest need is getting Gomez off the team.
I thought I read here today that Campoli was given the green light to play and could return on Saturday?

it`s about chemistry... if he finds it, great trade.

he was good with the Leafs. Maybe big market Canadian teams are his calling.

To me Emelin has to play left side.

Markov-Subban
Kaberle-Gorges
Emelin-Campoli
Gill
Diaz.

Subban needs to play with Markov. It's going to be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Martin has a new shootout man. Kaberle will pass the puck to nobody instead of shooting..LOL

Yeah, sorry guys, I think this move is actually quite brilliant. You're all just mad because it appears that while you want PG to be an idiot, he's actually smarter than most all of you.

All Kaberle does is pass, and all we have is guys to pass to.

Between Pacioretty, Subban, AK, and Cammi on the wings, Cole, Moen, Gionta, Pacioretty down low, and Pleky/Desharnais below the goal line...I just don't see how he's going to have any sort of trouble on the PP here.

Gauthier is buying at the very lowest point on a stock that's about to explode.

Very good move.

What makes me laugh is seeing Gauthier talking to the media about the trade and he's looking so happy and so proud of him of pulling off that trade.

And futhermore, he tries to convinced us that Kaberle was a big part of the bruins during the playoffs with he's incredible play.

Ladies and gentelman, we have a hell of a GM.

So the geniuses in millions, what would you've done this morning if you were in PG shoes after the loss to vancouver, beside sending gomez to the minors? Trade a 7th round in 2020 for the wiz?

Well... the problem with this is not that we're a worse team after the trade AKA easier to tank.. The problem is that it DOES handcuff the team from adding more depth next season and after. Unless part 2 of the deal is Gomer to Hamilton.. Somehow I think they're content with that move.

On the bright side... Kaberle (like Cole) was always lights out when playing against us, several times in his tenure in Toronto he single handedly won games over us. Obviously Gauthier's plan is to acquire as many Habs killers as possible, next pick up? RJ Umberger.

Fired the Coach and GM to be replaced with two "better" choices only to be behind the bench of a team whose shooters can't hit the net, whose powerplay has no point man and whose defense has the combined NHL experience of 1 dman.
