Clearing the Teddy Bear Toss takes forever. Only 3 minutes were played until now

the kid was a steal in the 5th round but can't help it that we keep getting small skilled guys. he's gionta's replacement, we need to make sure he plays with big skilled guys to give him room. don't have much of that in the system up front

Better a potentially great top6 smallish forward than an average/borderline NHLer big guy (the big guys with great potential are already gone in the 5th round, you have to be extremely lucky to find one).

He's showing a great all around game. Offense, Defense.. his coach puts him in all situation. He's obviously the go-to guy.

Must say, the kid's release is sick - especially given how heavy and accurate his shot seems. Looked a bit easy for defenders to deal with physically/positionally, but I guess he's going to be asked to score goals - not grind - if he makes it to the next level.

Holiday charity,they said.

What I liked better than the dangle and snipe (though that was indeed sick) was the way he found his teammate for the EN goal for a hat trick .

How many players just blaze one at the net and get an icing there?

Loved the unselfish play to give his teammate the hat-trick.

He's projected himself into top prospect range pretty much. The kid is having an incredible year and early signs are that he is developing at quite an extraordinary pace given where he was selected in the draft.

He's one of the top players in his league and according to those who have been following more closely.. he's improved all areas of his game.

This is a case where the stats are pretty telling though. He's tearing it up at almost a 2.0ppg pace...
