"They've been paired together in Albany and played well together" talking about Tao and Urbom, hope that's a good sign.

Fraser has to be very disappointed. But it happens. He'll get odd games here and there throughout the year. Simply the role has this year.

This defense is going to be ridiculous. I'm hoping they can chip in some offense because I'm expecting them to get burnt for 1 atleast once. Mtl is fast

Did they play together in the AHL already? If yes, keeping them together makes the most sense. The other 4 dmen will play a lot.

should be an interesting one today. hoping i can find a stream since its blacked out on gamecenter. i gotta say, i do like deboers decision to get the two youngsters in over fraser, but we'll see how it turns out. im anxious to see them both play, and i almost would like to see taormina get a chance on the PP but im not sure i see that happening. just get a nonshootout win please!

edit: now i see that tedenby is back with carter and clarkson, with zubrus back up with elias and sykora. im not sure how i feel towards that but i wont criticize it yet.

Shame always like Gio's style of play and how much heart he puts in to every shift.

Don't kid yourself, he's getting a hat trick tonight.

Our only hope is Marty going into full on Hab Slayer mode.

So Marty is either going full beast mode or getting pulled. I don't like playing with those odds.

I bet a lot of us are at this game, gonna be a slow thread.

Well, that pairing might be an adventure.

And maybe 20 minutes in goal too, if Marty doesn't play so well.

Our defense tonight has played a combined 272 total man-games since last season. 193 of them come from Tallinder + Fayne.

Man this team could really use some Colin White right now.

Not trying to compare those two, but Ellerby-Kulikov really clicked. Hopefully they can too.

Debo should have Fraser as a 7th D man today, and scratch one of the 4th liners

Fraser should be disapointed. I wouldn't mind seeing Fraser in the lineup today, its not like he had a really bad game against the leafs.

Its fine to have one of Urbom\Taormina, but i don't think we should be putting both in the same game. Why DeBoer has to take a chance with two fringe NHLers in one game, when the team started to click again?

Hope it works out.

I'm ok with the decision to keep the two AHL defencemen together. There's a level of familiarity there that should help.

I think it is because MTL is fast, like Petey said, and Fraser would get beat on the outside. If this was against a harder hitting team, I could see Fraser in.

That's true, we won't have any physical issues against the smurf squad.
