Question for Bob MacKenzie...

Hope he gets this.

In the Flames trade today, Kristan Huselius got delt for Steve Montador and Dustin Johner.

My question is, how does a guy like Dustin Johner get included into these deals? Assuming that Florida doesn't see anything special in this ECHL player (a guy who they have released before) how exactly do spare parts end up in these kind of trades?

I didn't understand it either, it's not like it helps cut salary for Calgary. I guess we just needed another body for the Everblades.

Hi, I'm Bob MacKenzie....

in other words, why would you ask this question to him? you expect him to come on this board?

You obviously dont pay much attention. He has in fact posted on these boards in the past(and quite recently too).

Apparently Johner came to Calgary in a previous trade with Florida. Florida had asked for him back.

Johner was a Florida pick, but he wasn't traded to Calgary. They signed him as a free agent.

Why does everyone believe it's actually him? It could be anyone, unless there's some "proof" that I missed. In any case, it doesn't change the fact that he's still a good poster, whoever he is.

Minor league help perhaps?

I remember the Penguins throwing in Francois Leroux into the Jan Hrdina to Phoenix deal a couple years ago. Franky was long removed from being anything more than a 7th AHL defenseman.

Phoenix wanted him to help their lack of defensive depth in Springfield.

I believe HF has a policy that requires one to prove that they are a member of the media if they register under a media name.

THat way, people are impostering others.

It is, in fact, him. On that note, since this thread is nothing more than "is it\isn't it", I'm going to close it.

If Bob wants to PM Phaneuthier, he can do so...and Splatman can pass it along
